Hi me again :)

I read somewhere that you can’t have the flu jab while taking prednisolone? Is this correct? I’m on day 3 of a 7 day course and I’m booked in this morning for the jab x

I am on long term prednisolone and had my flu jab a couple of weeks ago. Wasn’t mentioned as a problem to me and all was fine. X

The nurse wouldn’t do mine but think it was more down to my asthma being so bad earlier this week rather than the predisolone x

Yeah they will hold off if you haven’t been well. X

I’m booked in for this time next week all being well! I can’t see any problems as I’m feeling so much better already that by next Thursday I hope I’ll be ok for it :) x

Hi! No the nurse wouldn’t do it she said to wait another week for my lungs to get a bit better. So now I have another week to fret over it haha

There's no one worse than me for needles and I have to have my bloods taken fortnightly (8 attempt to get one lot of blood as my viens are useless )but I can honestly say it didn't hurt so don't worry and get all het up over like I did you'll be fine x

Awh thank you that makes me feel better about it. I think waiting to have it done is worse than the actual injection. Your veins sounds like mine, I always end up with huge bruises as the move the needle around to try and catch a vein :( Poor you having to have them fortnightly when it’s so bad for you! X

Thankyou it is awful but taking the preds and having my bloods taken is what's keeping me alive i do get down with it all and am just realising the full consequences of my condition as it's very complex but hey I'm still here and try to smile every day x Hope it goes well for you xx

Check with your GP, your steroid doage seems a little odd, normally it's 6 tablets per day for 5,7 or 10 days.
