End of the line with treatment?
Hi all, My son has had constipation issues since he was 6 months old and is about to turn 10. It also became apparent that he has bladder issues since about the age of 4 or 5 as well. We are at a reasonably good place with the constipation largely under control with a good routine, diet, water and probiotics

Alcohol-free hand sanitizer and other quaternary ammonium disinfectants quickly and effectively inactivate SARS-CoV-2.
Coronaviruses are enveloped viruses that commonly cause upper respiratory tract infections in humans and animals. Four known coronaviruses cause the common cold in humans, while another three have caused deadly outbreaks in the past 20 years, including SARS-CoV-2, the agent of Coronavirus Disease 2019

Constipation in my 3 year old
So this has been going on since my daughter was 7/8 months old and she's now 3 almost 4! She's constantly constipated, she will stand and scream in pain that she can't poo, it's made toilet training so hard and she's tried so many medications, she's now on movicol which helps but not much! I sit and

Macular degeneration
I have been receiving injection in my eye since September 2019, for what I thought was a gramuloma in the macula.. I asked the nurse today what I have a she said macular degeneration. The eye dr never mentioned this to me, she just kept telling me injection were for fluid or odema ... I am worried

My 29 yr old son really agitated 3 weeks after sedation being reduced
My son has been in icu since 6/12/2020 he came out of a window slipped no more than 10ft high. Sustained severe injuries to his body but no head injury. Was put into an induced coma for a week he now is off life support but has been heavily sedated and they have been reducing his sedation for 3 weeks

extreme constipation?
so it’s been about 10 days since I’ve had a bowel movement. I’ve taken 10 stool softeners today, three prune lax, A cup of senna tea and one Ex-Lax. i’m getting urges to go but I literally can’t push it out. It’s like a sharp pain and I can’t sit up or walk. It hurts so much. Am I going to be OK? Will

6wks + 4 (Bleed at 4 weeks) with viability scan this Thursday...Can anyone relate? 🤦🏻♀️
Hello All, I’m 6 wks + 3 with my “viability” scan planned for this Thursday! I feel sick with worry as I had a small bleed / brown discharge (sorry for TMI) at 4 weeks and ever since I can’t help but think things have failed and it’s just the meds masking any further bleeding 😫 ... Can anyone else

Our rainbow baby!
After lots of anxious months, our lockdown rainbow baby was born in May this year ❤️ After our MMC 3 years ago, we were nervous to get pregnant again, but it was 100% worth all of the worry. There’s always hope 🌈

Third FET coming up and feeling low
Hi, Hope everyone is doing well. I haven't written on here for a while but I've been reading people's success stories which is always encouraging. We've got another FET coming up next week and I'm on a high amount of progynova plus patches and I think it's playing havoc with my moods! Most of the time

CR2: Idle-chatter run produces PB 🚨🚨🚨🔔🔔
I set Runkeeper as, on CR1, I’d deviated to take a photo and ran on the spot. So some new stats, I figured, could offer a baseline. ‘Twas not to be. My notes on Runkeeper say: ‘overcast; counterclockwise; pre-lunch; knew we were going faster and pushing’. That’s shows how brief this post could be.

Try and remain calm and positive
I work in the field of mental health and have a lot of client and personal experience in anxiety especially. A mentor once said to me ask this question when you are worrying. ' Is it of any use?' The answer of course is always 'No'. Worrying about something does not change it, and yes I do realise we

Progynova symptoms
I am day 8 of 8mg of Progynova plus 0.25ml of Buserelin. I’m extremely exhausted, having to take a catnap during the day to keep going and I’ve noticed period like cramps. There was also a day I’m sure I felt my ovaries twinging on/off (almost like peak stims feeling) which I’ve heard can happen albeit

Left arm BP consistently higher than right arm BP
Hello everyone, just wondered if anyone has had anything similar? A review appointment at the GCA clinic last week picked up a 20 mm Hg difference in left arm systolic pressure, compared to the right arm. Not much difference in the diastolic pressures. The doc suggested that I take my BP 3 times a day

Does anyone know anything about the use of deflazacort instead of prednisone for PMR?
Searching the web tonight for prednisone information, I came across deflazacort for the first time. It seems to have better characteristics in terms of less bone loss and other side effects. The article I found (link below) talks about kidney transplantation; does anyone know whether it is being used

Scaring myself silly and pretty ashamed too.
I’ve been lurking on here not posting for a long time. I have a really toxic relationship with alcohol and while I found I have always managed to get it under control, this year has seen my drinking spiral. Over the past nearly 9 months I’ve drank around 2 bottles of wine a day, sometimes less, sometimes

Lack of motivation
Hi all have not been on here for a while as motivation seemed to have deserted me, I haven't been out running for a week due to making excuses about weather, cold etc. But gave myself a kick up the butt this morning and went out. Did 8k in 70 mins, know it's not a brilliant time or speed but went slow

CR5 5km PB!! Galloping gazelles💥💥💥
Third run of the week, done and a 5km PB! Did it in 33.52min at average pace 6.46km/min. I think I could safely put this down to a gazelle run this morning 🦌 🦌 So happy with that! Sunday morning alarm (can't remember the last time I set an alarm on a Sunday - let alone, an alarm to go for a run lol

Missed tablets
Last night, for the first time in a year or so I missed taking my Lodotra (4mg). This morning I am in no pain. Could this possibly mean my adrenals are perhaps working after all? Having aggressive OA I have often wondered if the pain I have daily is mostly OA and not PMR.
