Permanently semi-conscious state
Hi I'm new here. My dad has had PSP for about 7 years now and it certainly now feels like he's entering his last days/weeks. One thing we're all very confused about is that he seems to be almost permanently sleeping or semi conscious. He does occasionally open his eyes, he's actually lost all ability

Baby tooth paste and tooth brush
Hello, I have 8.5 months old baby girl and she is teething. She has a tiny tooth erupted on the bottom incisors and it is clearly visible. Although I didn’t see discomfort in her, she is happy sleeping well but not eating much. Any suggestions for a good baby tooth paste and tooth brush ?

Variceal bleed
Last week wasn't fun. I had recently read the book by The Reverend Richard Coles "The Madness of Grief"- most unwise and I don't recommend it. His husband died from chronic alcoholism and a bleed. On Wednesday I started throwing up a lot of blood. Was on my own, terrified and convinced I was dying, called

Ultrasound Result after Elevated ALP
I got my US result this morning and it states that Liver is slightly echogenic possibly due to fatty infiltration. My family doctor thinks it is a fatty liver but I should get a second opinion from specialist. I have scheduled an appointment with gastro on August 24th which is the earliest they have.

Can brown spotting be classed as your period when ringing to start FET medication?
Been waiting for AF to start so I can start another FET. A week after expected I start to spot brown blood. Then yesterday morning some more. With it being BH weekend and worried when the clinic was open I called to say I'd started my period, was given a scan appointment for the 13th and told to start

Hubby update, saw Hepatology Registrar
Hubby was very shocked at what she said. Hubby had a CT scan recently, it shows the lymph nodes in his lungs are stable, they are about 12mm in size. His liver is still Decompensated. She told hubby that his condition is very serious. She said that if he does not stop drinking, then he probably has

Nefopam overdose?
I’ve had a rough week and had what felt like convulsions Wednesday night - felt rough all yesterday as well just quite sleepy then thought this morning I should check my doses of tablets and side effects. I’ve been taking 3 x 30mg of Nefopam instead of 2 x 30mg of Nefopam three times a day for at least

3 year old toilet refusal following constipation
We have a three year old little girl who is full of fun but very head strong. Our concern is around her toilet training. We started training her over a year ago. In hindsight it was too early. She hated her nappy being changed and there was some pressure from her creche. She avoids going to the toilet

Thoughts on hypoxic brain injury recovery?
Hi, I'm fairly new to the forum but wanted to reach out to see if anyone may have had any similar experiences. My mother in law suffered a hypoxic brain injury whilst in hospital late feb and hasn't really regained any meaningful recovery yet. She had only been admitted around 24 hours earlier for unknown
