Can brown spotting be classed as your period when ringing to start FET medication?

Been waiting for AF to start so I can start another FET. A week after expected I start to spot brown blood. Then yesterday morning some more. With it being BH weekend and worried when the clinic was open I called to say I'd started my period, was given a scan appointment for the 13th and told to start Progynova. Woke up this morning and it's still just brown blood (no more than when I went to bed last night) Have I started the medication too early and messed up this month's chances of a transfer? I've had period like cramps for the last week and still got them, just not getting the expected red blood. I'm just really panicking that I've messed up that I'll go for my scan and the transfer will be cancelled because I should have waited longer

I could be wrong but brown spotting I’ve never classed as my period it’s always been a definitive bleed.

Informally had brown spotting upto 2 days before my actual period, and then, until the hospital told me day 1 actually depended on what time your bleed started, so if it was after 12pm (lunchtime) it wasn’t classed as day 1 until the following day.

I think you will need to speak to your clinic and see if the class your brown spotting as a period

Hi there, my clinic does not class brown spotting as a period. They want you you start a full flow prior to any treatment.

If you have brown spotting it means AF is about to arrive. As previously suggested, you could contact your clinic to double check. All the best 🙏🏾
