Coming off Amiodarone
After developing Afib (thanks to Covid) I was put on amiodarone, bisoprolol and edoxaban. A terrible two to three weeks followed without a wink of sleep getting the amiodarone into my system. I had a cardioversion a few months later (delayed thanks to doctors and nurses strikes). That worked and I felt

Folic acid and b12
Hi all, I’m new here. I have low B12 (390 -180-900), but have been tested for pernicious anaemia and the test came back clear. I have low folic acid (3.4 -3.00-17.00) and was perscribed folic acid 5mg. I just read that taking folic acid when low in b12 can cause neurological symptoms. I was tested

Nuelasta shot after Jevtana and Carboplatin treatment
I get a nuelasta shot 24 hours after receiving my Jevtana and Carboplatin iinfusion. I'm having major body aches for 2 to 3 days after receiving the shot to boost my white blood counts. None of my various pain medications works. Anyone have this problem or have an answer to help with the pain? Believe

Had appointment with cardiologist- update
We had appointment today with cardiologist which we booked privately. In my previous post I said I’d update on how it went. The cardiologist has decided that he will put a heart rate monitor on mum for a week, and see what’s going on. I explained the current anxiety symptoms were so frequent now, like

New to all this!
Hi. I am new to this and feel overwhelmed by it all. I've just been in A&E and have now added yet another condition to the already long list I have. Due to autoimmune hypothyroidism I have had lots of problems with my health and have struggled with finding the right solutions. Now on more Bisoporol

Post Cardioversion
In my previous post I explained that my 3rd carioversion did not work even after one hour I was back into afib. However something strange is happening or at least it seems strange to me but may be normal. Five days after my cardio I got up around 2:30-3:00 am to use the loo. I could feel my heart in

Earlier today I posted the link to the PBC Foundaton's Urso calculator. There are so many posts and questions relating to Urso that I thought it was important for everyone to make sure they are on the right dose. This 'calculator' is also available on the PBC app. Knowing you are taking the right dose

amiodarone
Was admitted via A&E to hospital last October with fast AF, 174 bpm., Sob, high bp. Because of other underlying problems with CKD, doc put me on Amiodarone 200mg daily, along with Nebivolol bi-daily, replacing Bisoprolol. Was discharged after 6 days when heart rate was consistently below 80bpm. Now

do I need my inhaler ?
hi all, I’m new to this forum and new to my illness which I haven’t really been informed of in much detail. I had a collapsed lung in September last year and they did a cat scan 3 weeks later. The results letter that they sent my doctor was also sent to me. I’ve gathered that I have emphysema and bronchial

GCA diagnostic dilemma
Thank you everyone who has helped so far. Last night I had a message from Rheumy saying I should go to the hospital for an emergency biopsy, with the headache and unusual severe temporal pain being the driver. He said that U/S was so ‘operator sensitive’ as to be unreliable in this ‘locality’. The

Spontaneous Subdural Hematoma
I am 58 years old. A few months I started to develop headaches and neck pain that gradually increased in severity. I eventually went to the ER and was diagnosed with a minor subdural hematoma (SDH) based upon a CT Scan and was sent home for follow-up with a neurosurgeon. I have had no recent head

One litre of fluids
After having pneumonia with fluid on the lung I have now developed heart failure. My recent x-ray was showing I still have fluid on my lung. I don't have any shortness of breath at the moment. I was surprised to hear this. Apparently it's worse than it was. A consultant from the hospital rang me to ask

seeking more info with yet more questions
Hello. As I begin to write this it's 5:45 in the morning here. Trying to get at least some type of sleep. Still having loads of anxiety but trying to calm myself down to at least write this. Glancing over once in a while to check oxymeter, heart rate ranging from 92 to 104, oxygen steady at 96-97.

Hello
Introducing myself, as I'll be looking through posts in the coming weeks... I'm 61, recently diagnosed with AF, but reckon I've been suffering for about 2 years. Biosprolol, Apixaban and Digoxin. Due to do the 'zaps' in 8-12 weeks.

Masofaniten +Enzalutamide This could be a game changer...Science is coming to our aid
This is a company that I was turned on to by Nalkrantz before he was removed from this board. He told me that he was in touch with a doctor that was involved with this drug. Reportedly the early testing on a single patient had been phenomenal. These are pretty amazing #s NEWS PROVIDED BY ESSA
