Vegan breast-feeding and supplements
My daughter is currently breast feeding. The baby can’t tolerate dairy so my daughter, who is already vegetarian has had to cut out dairy. So she’s now vegan. I asked her if she’s supplementing b12 and she said she’s been advised to take this multi supplement. Looking at it it includes an impressive

New GP is considering to give me B12 pills instead of injections - would that be the same in the long run?
Started having B12 injections two yeas ago and worked fine. Now moved to a new village and the new GP ordered blood tests to see if I should continue. Fought back and said that without the injections my B12 levels are going down. He asked me to take vitamin pills and have another blood test. If levels

Adding calcium in order to strengthen bones
Hi. I have Stage IV Pca and on year 3 with Eligard and Xtandi (age 59)I've had a DEXA scan and my bones are not in the best shape due to Eligard. Getting zolendronic acid every 4 months I've just had a heart scan, and it seem like one of the blood vessels are starting to calcify. The doctors want me

Duff batch of B12?
Have any self-injectors ever found their symptoms coming back big-time over a period of several weeks and wondered if they've been using a duff batch of B12? I have been self-injecting every other day for 18 months because of persistent neurological symptoms (paraspinal muscle spasm). I was doing great

Back to square one
My Dr checked my thyroid levels with some other blood tests without me knowing, so I had taken my T4 (50mcg) about an hour before! Based on the results, she said I was now fine and took me off the medication. I tried to argue saying it needed to be before my meds and she said that was wrong. I had always

Monitor My Health iron test - lack of ranges
I spent a bit more money on my MMH test this year as I’ve never had an iron panel done but have always had low iron indicators on a full blood test. I didn’t get complete results as ferritin failed (posting the kit back took 48 hours when it was tracked to take 24) but the results I did get, I can’

stopping vitamins before tests
hi everyone, I can’t remember if I have to stop my vitamin b12 and D before doing my medichecks test - the one that tests for t3, t4, tsh, folate, b12, D, ferritin and inflammation. I’m taking the vitamins in spray form now so no biotin - is there any other reason I have to stop before testing? Thanks

Methylfolate dose for B12 injections
Whilst high dose folic acid is definitely helping me utilise my EOD injections, I think it’s also progressively not agreeing with me so I am going to try methylfolate. However, there seems no information on the recommended dose for supporting injections. Is anyone else on it, and how much do you take

Advice regarding Thyroid levels
Hi Could do with some advice regarding my thyroid test levels. I have Hashimoto's but am not taking thyroid medication due to my TSH levels not being high enough yet. I was diagnosed just over 2 years ago after my health had declined for several years. My GP did however agree to a 25mcg Levothyroxine

Heart Arrhythmia
Hello All. I've posted in the past and remember that some have said that I could increase my dose of T3 to perhaps alleviate the arrhythmia I have been experiencing for many years. I take 75 MCG LEVO (for 35+ years with varying dosages) and 5 MCG Lio each morning. Any comments at this time would be greatly

Though not directly associated with PD, PWPs take a lot of drugs and supplements, which may affect the Liver. From that perspective, posting a rat study: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC9045995/ Combination Treatment of Omega-3 Fatty Acids and Vitamin C Exhibited Promising Therapeutic

Crash after jab from different source?
I'm wondering if anyone has had issues with getting a jab from a different source. My husband normally does my jab (Pascoe 1500 hydroxo, was every 10 days but have recently gone to weekly). He was out of town so I had it done at my GP's office -- the nurse was a real snot about it because my levels (

UK paid £160 per patient for GP care 2022 That is no different really to many other countries So where is the problem Aside form al that Lets say a patient comes in with 40 to 50% of B12D symptoms. . .. . Dont do a blood test . . . . . Save at least £30 with that but give them a B12 jab
