Bloating and thyroxine hormone absorption

Would bloating of the digestive system after some liquid medication I have been given for an infection affect the T4 tablet absorbtion?

I am also avoiding lactose and have noticed an improvement in the absorption but I have not managed gluten at the moment due to trying to recover.

I know T4 is absorbed in the small intestine and stomach but if I am bloated from time to time (through this new medication) and sometimes what I eat of which I am trying to address.

I have got some liquid T4 (GP may only temporarily supply), but I was trying not to take this because of its inconvenience (supply issues and getting the same brand) and also the ingredients in it.

Would liquid in any form of medication avoid this issue with bloating and the absorption issues I have?

I do feel better after changing to Mercury pharma from Accord with more energy but I don’t feel I receive enough of the hormone. T3 is something to look at but I have not been able to do this at the moment.

I take vitamin D and try to eat a varied diet rather than take more supplements and I have a blood test for them all soon.

Thank you for any advice you could give on this.

Levo is not absorbed in the stomach, it's absorbed in the gut.

Are you sure it's the medication and not the hypo that is causing the bloating? Hypos usually have low stomach acid and that can cause bloating and difficulties digesting food and absorbint nutrients. So, you could have THE most perfect diet imaginable and still suffer from nutritional deficiencies.

But, yes, low stomach acid would affect absorption of levo because the stomach acid is necessary for the isolation of the thyroid hormone molecules. But I don't think the bloating itself would have any effect. :)
