B12 order: Just thought I'd post this... - Pernicious Anaemi...
B12 order
It should be easy. . . . . . The days of awkward software are or should be a thing of the past. . . . . Well done
Well Cynocobalamin should work .fine . Maybe you will need to inject more often . But it needs to be avoided if you have an eye problem called Lebers. A maternally -inherited eye disease .
They have these in stock which are a good substitute

Good company properly reg in Germany. . . .
I will be interested to hear how you get on.
My GP surgery is asking patients to bring back any spare ampoules they have. I do not have any spare to give back.
I used to be able to order my prescription online via my GP practice’s online repeat prescription service, and collect from the pharmacy drop box a few days later. This was introduced during the pandemic to decrease footfall at the surgery and has been a really good idea. It was also a bonus as it made SI very easy. I also live in Wales where prescriptions are free of charge.
But my last repeat prescription request was rejected
On phoning to enquire why, I was told that I can no longer get these on repeat prescription and they are now kept at the Practice Nurse’s office, and I have to make an appointment every three months to get my injection.
I had my appointment for my injection yesterday, and the nurse said they are asking everyone to bring in their spare ampules so that they can keep a stock in the Practice Nurses office.
I said I didn’t have any left to give back, which is why I had tried to order more online, but was rejected. She told me that they will not be offering them as a prescription anymore.
Patients will have to make a 3 monthly appointment to get their injections which will be stocked at the surgery. I asked if the appointments could be more frequent and she said No as the NICE guidelines state every three months.
I said OK, Fine and left as I did not have the energy to argue about this again.
I think they are asking for the ampoules back as there are shortages, as there are with a lot of medicines at present. 😡
Medicines leaving a pharmacy/surgery should NEVER be re-used. May have been stored incorrectly.
Agreed, but that is what is happening at my surgery.
In my experience, it is pointless trying to argue with them about ANYTHING to do with PA, B12 etc as they don’t care, refuse to listen or engage, and their rules are the rules.
End of.
It’s hugely frustrating, but any type of polite questioning of said rules gets you flagged as a “vexatious” patient. 😡
