ritalin dose
I’ve had good results from Ritilin and I have been on it for about 10 years. I can’t get anything done without it 🫠
I started Ritalin in Nov 23 at 5mg I'm now at 54mg @530am and 20mg @ lunch. It's been pretty good. I had dry mouth with each incremental change but it subsides within about 2 weeks.
total game changer.
54mg?
10mg 3x/day, 4:00-4:30 hrs apart. It took me a long time of titrating up very, very slowly to get there. It works ok for me, BUT, i definitely need to exercise, watch my diet, sleep hygiene, etc. Rx is only an additional bandaid. Nothing will benefit you more than healthy behavioral tools applied with consistence. That said, the Rx helps me declutter my mind do I can swim my laps, run, lift weights, etc mainly focusing on THAT, vs thinking about 40+ things while I'm doing it.
Prayer, meditation, sleep, diet, exercise, and the self discipline to do all of that is your greatest ally and the best way to leverage what the Rx can do for you.
I use Ritalin for five consecutive days, followed by a switch to Modafinil to clear the Ritalin from my system. This approach helps manage my ADHD while preventing the build-up of Ritalin, which can trigger anxiety due to my concurrent anxiety disorder.
As for why I don't use non-stimulants like Straterra, I found its side effects to be quite problematic. Even the mildest side effect was unusual—enhanced night vision, which required me to wear sunglasses while driving in the evening because headlights and tail lights were too bright. Not ideal 😕
