currently on 75mcg of tirosint 6 days a week and 1 day 100mcg, also on NDT 1 1/4 grain.
I do feel awful at the moment most days with extreme fatigue, hair loss, muscle weakness and spasms, pain.
I have had terrible heart problems I already have PoTs but for the past year I have had pericardial effusion. I am on colchicine which is a horrible drug but gets the pain under control. Aparntly the peri is chronic now but I swear it is me being over active the past year (in previous bloods that have done it)
Please note I did not get all vitamins checked with nhs this time but will do next time. I take vit D, COQ10, multi vit, pro biotic, biotin (not taken for a week before test)
the only thing I may have done wrong is I take the larger t4 dose of tiro in the evening, I took it as usual 2 days before then a day before I took it 9am instead of 9pm, then left a 24 hour gap before bloods. my NDT had a 12 hour gap.
I am thinking to my Dr to suggest I cut down to: (I like to slowly change meds more gradually than just going straight down). Will still be on 1 1/4 grains armour as well, not cutting this down.
Mon- 75mcg tiro
Tues- 75mcg tiro
Wends- 50mcg tiro
Thurs- 75mcg
Friday- 50mcg
Sat- 75mcg
Sunday- 50mcg
Note my para thyroid is coming back 1.3 range 1.8-9. I do not know much about this but seems low?
Liver is also not looking great but I think this is the colchicine, as it is known for this.

Multi-vits are really, really not recommended on here, for many reasons: Not enough of anything to treat a deficiency, wrong form of the nutrient, etc. But, worst of all, if it contains iron, you won't absorb any of the other nutrients because the iron will block them. And, if it contains iodine, it could be doing you more harm than good. You'll already be getting a fair amount of iodine from your thyroid hormone replacement:
100 mcg T4 contains about 35 mcg iodine
75 mcg T4 contains about 26.25 mcg iodine
1.25 grains NDT contains about 36.25 mcg iodine
So you'll be getting an average of abpit 63.75 mcg iodine a day, plus what you get from your food. I very much doubt you need any more. And, in excess, iodine can cause all sorts of problems.
I am thinking to my Dr to suggest I cut down
I would suggest that if you want to trial a reduced dose, do it on your own. Don't involve your doctor. Because if you find you need to put the dose back up again, you will have a lot of trouble getting him to increase again - doctors love reducing doses, they don't like increasing them! If you like, you can inform him what you've done once you know for sure it was the right thing to do.
I see what you mean. My multi vit does not contain iron or idodine I made sure I found one that does not.
You’re right in regards to the Dr. To be honest I see a prescribing pharmacist and I pretty much tell her what I want to take and she writes a script. She is useless at treating and does not have much knowledge but as I know what I need with increases and decreases I do play around with my doses. It does cost me more but I do get seperate 50 and 25s in the t4 as they do not do a 75mcg in the uk. So means I can change around.
