Do Drs get a bonus for prescribing certain drugs ?
Does anybody know if Gps get a hand out for prescribing statins ? There has been a lot of controversy in regard to this topic. Late yesterday afternoon I had a call from my surgery. It was a Dr I had never heard of or had I spoken to her before. She was suggesting I were put on statins! I asked for

anyone got experience of private Drs or this reaction to dropping meds?
TO UPDATE, I HAVE BEEN IN TOUCH WITH AN ENDO FROM THE LIST AND AS MY ENDO ALREADY PRESCRIBES T3 ONLY THERAPY FOR ME (long story) HE MADE IT CLEAR THAT I WAS ALREADY GETTING THE BEST I PROBABLY COULD OUT OF AN NHS GP. SO NO NEED TO PAY PRIVATELY. Depressing to know no more nuanced help from anyone, but

Stopping Injections After 3 Loading Doses
Hi! I’m new here and learning so much from reading all of the posts here. I was diagnosed with low B12 levels earlier on this year, although my PA antibodies came back negative. I was put on injections, and was meant to have 6 over 2 weeks followed by 1 every 3 months, however my GP had to stop them

My daughter has recently been diagnosed with dyslexic tendencies. She is almost 7yrs old in year 2 of primary school. I had her B12 tested last year due to recurrent mouth ulcers. B12 orders
Can I just ask, is there is a general concensus on which is the best type of B12 to order if you want to SI. Different people seem to be using different forms and I wondered if there was a general recommendation, do they all do the same thing or is it a case of trial and error to see what works best

Is this low B12 / folate?
Hi all! Curious if anyone can advise please- I am fatigued (really struggle at work), brain fog, aches and pains - have been taking HRT for few months but not cured it! Also stable levothyroxine for many years and have Psoriasis although mild. Wondering if I should ask GP for further investigation

Vitamins
Hi I'm just starting this journey of information. I am subclinical hypo - last test TSH 6.83. I've got a lot of symptoms and i'm unsure whether it's all down to thyroid, or if I am vitamin deficient, or if I am starting another fun journey of perimenopause. I'm vegetarian, my periods are regular and

Vitamin B Complex
G'day everyone, hope you're all doing well I would appreciate your advice on the following question - I read somewhere that we should have a break from taking vitamin B complex, would this apply to us thyroid sufferers and if so, for how long?

12 Day Trial
1.5mg methylcobalamin, 1.5mg adenosylcobalamin, 1mg hydroxocobalamin. SC injection 5 times a day including setting an alarm to inject at night. 50 mg B6 in the form of P-5-P or pain from peripheral neuropathy returns. Results of this trial are positive. Much closer to knowing what is most effective

B12 Mouth Spray
my partner bought me the B12 mouth spray - apricot flavour! Up to 4 sprays a day. Do you think it will have any effect? Have you tried it?

obtaining B12 injections in Melbourne Aus
recent moved to Melbourne from NZ. I was self injecting, due to next to useless doctors. My test result was 2 points above deficient. I would like to continue them in Australia, anyone got any advice on getting the supplies. I know there was shortages for them recently, so not sure if this has corrected

Placebo effect
I have scoffed at doctors' suggestions that many people feel better when they are injecting B12 due to a placebo effect. That statement seems trite, simplistic, almost a throwaway comment. But it's likely that doctors attributing patient claims of feeling better to placebo are taking into consideration

Neuropathy and RA
I'm being referred for nerve mapping by my consultant due to odd sensations in my middle finger and the side of my ring finger. Has any one else had this done? If neuropathy is diagnosed are there any treatments? I've been tested for diabetes and B12, both fine, so assume RA is the cause, but welcome

Less symptoms but still RLS sleep issues
I have supplemented iron for 4 months now and my RLS has reduced more and more but still have a bit of sleeping problems. I take no medications beside also Vitamin D. Last time my doctors checked my blood my ferritin level were in the normal range (around 140). Question is if I should continue taking
