Still no joy from Doctor š¤¦
After sending my private blood results to Dr refused to increase levo had phone appointment, kept insisting TSH suppressed & danger of osteoporosis. I tried to keep calm to explain my thoughts & where I'd research my information. Dr then asked which lab I'd used & where was it..... Quite upset/annoyed

Annual transplant program appointment
Yesterday was my annual transplant program check-in. Here are some highlights for those who may be curious what that entails. First up, unfortunately, is the weight and height check. This is one of the two the most dreaded moments for me. I wore the lightest clothes I could find. I've threatened

It does seem I feel best when Iām injected by the nurse. I order my own supplies to SI at home in between nurse injections

Is it B12 anemia? Iām confused.
Hello all, Iām new here and not sure if I need to pursue some concerns I have with my health so wondered if anyone could possible give me some advice/guidance. Iāve always been tired, (itās a family joke!), struggled with gut issues (mainly constipation), and in the last 5 or so years had terrible brain

Help with introduction of T3 pleaseā¦..
Good morning, I would truly love some guidance on how best to introduce T3. My private endo has now prescribed T3 to commence with 5mcg twice a day. He would like me to drop my levo from 100 to 75 at the same time. I am trialing T3 due to poor conversion and all the usual symptoms which accompany

About 6 weeks ago, because of a change in make of liothyronine I made a mistake and instead of taking 2 x 10mcg tablets, I took 2 x 20mcg.When I realised, I anticipated the worst. However, I was fine, in fact more than fine. My prescribed dose was 30mcg daily. But, I started to take 20mcg twice daily

Weird test results
I tried to post my results the other day in the hope that one of our amazing Admins might be kind enough to give their opinion but the photo came out blurred for some reason. I take 3 grains of Armour which Iāve been doing since 2017 and up to now have been ok. However the last three to four months

I have just been diagnosed with Osteoporosis T -2.9 in hips and spine at 64 years old. Dr prescribed biophosphates as my risk of fracture is high (statistically in paper). The thought of having drugs with side effects makes me run a mile and so I started my research that brought me here. I was prepared

Next steps advice, B12D
After completing all relevant blood tests (everything fine apart from low iron and 165 ng/L) I have completed my 6 loading doses 2 weeks ago and generally do feel some improvements, especially on the faster heart rate, that has subsided significantly. Since 2003 this has been my 3rd loading dose program

What is folic acid used for?
For other reasons, nothing to do with Pernicious Anaemia, I was checking the Patient Information Leaflet for a UK folic acid product. And I noticed this bit: Ennogen Pharma Limited
Folic Acid Tablets 5mg
1. WHAT FOLIC ACID TABLETS ARE AND WHAT THEY ARE USED FOR

Raised AST and ALT levels and methotrexate
Hi, I was diagnosed with RA in December 23 and I have been on 15mg methotrexate weekly and 5mg folic acid once a week. I have just got to my final monthly mxt monitoring and my alt level was raised. As advised by rheumy nurses I stopped mxt for two weeks and have just had repeat monitoring. Alt level

Dr agrees to test B12 but not blood test...
Hi All, on going (20 years) of discussion with GP about exhaustion. He agreed to injections for a while but that stopped during Covid. I've injected myself for a bit. Now he has agreed to do further test (as blood comes back a huge number because I am injecting!). I think the test may be homocysteine
