Hello. I found the helpful post with b12 supplies and have ordered panpharma b12. I hope I've got it right! I used the code so should be ok I'm just very anxious and over thinking everything 🙃
I cant find the info where to get the needles etc from. I plan to do SC and I'm very confused with it all!
Any help will be appreciated
Thank you 😊

It was all correct, thank you. I've been so confused with that side of things so that was a big help. Now to watch some YouTube videos of what to actually do haha
I'm excited/nervous but looking forward to hopefully feeling well again
It is straightforward . For self-injecting , the best place is the Vastus Lateralis muscle in the thigh , where it is nearest to the surface . This is in the outer middle third of the thigh . Have a look on line . Choose a 25 or 26G x 1 inch needle , unless you are really overweight , then you will need a longer needle .
The other needle that you need is a withdrawing needle , which could be a 21 G x 1 1/2 inch needle . You use it to withdraw the B12 from the ampoule , then transfer to the injection needle . If you used the injection needle to withdraw , you could easily make it blunt by touching the inside of the ampoule . ( OUCH! ) You can buy a blunt withdrawing needle from medisave.co.uk
Just checking as I don't believe I have read this topic of late,...
I self-inject sub-cutaneously into my abdomen. Maybe because that is the way I was first taught. That said, I am very thin. When I go to "grab a few inches" of fat, it does get much...just the tissue connected to my skin. Sometimes I can actually feel the needle when I am injecting as I pinch. (I try to grab a large area of skin, but there isn't much to grab) For some reason, I am not afraid to do this but I do wonder if this is affecting my uptake of the serum. Do intra-muscular go straight into the thigh muscle because I don't have much muscle either. Any thoughts or recommendations?
You can inject sub-cutaneously into the whole of the front of your thigh , not just into your tummy . As you are thin , you could use an even shorter needle than 1/2 inch . Difficult to find , but there are some on Amazon .co .uk Under the name of Antonmove stainless steel pipe . 30 G anything from 4mm up to 1 inch
I.M. go straight into the thigh muscle ( the Vastus Lateralis ) which is found closest to the surface in the outer middle third of the thigh. .I actually prefer I.M. after trying both methods . But I often suggest that beginners try sub cut because the shorter needle looks less intimidating . . Best wishes and good luck .
I have only recently started to SI by SC and this lovely forum posted a lot of useful tips n advice on my An SI Newbie post u can find on my profile. All their info really helped me. Once u get that first injection done u realise it’s not that complicated or daunting. U can do it 😊🤗
The following is a page on Guys and St Thomas’s hospital website showing you how to self inject. The needles etc may be different but the process is the same.
Thank you everyone for all your help. I did my first subcut yesterday. I was a bit shakey but I'm sure that will get easier. I was very impressed with the delivery from Germany, less than a week!
Here's to hoping for some improvement in the future 🙏 😀
