Every other day injections UK
There have been references on here of the possibility of having B12 injections every other day when neurological symptoms existing (or persist) by can someone point me at a formal UK NHS or NICE source for this please? My neurologist has suggested monthly injections but my GP is still seeking advice

Doubling Dose For Hypothyroidism?
Hi, I know this is not the thyroid thread. I’m here because I’m B12 deficient, SI with hydroxocobalamim. But because it’s an autoimmune problem I sure a number of others are affected by hypothyroidism hence my desire to get thoughts and opinions (I’ll make the decision 🙂) on doubling my thyroxine dose

I’m Quite Annoyed Over My Latest Blood Tests.
Three months ago my Levo was reduced because they thought I was taking too much. This week I had my blood test and they haven’t even tested T3 as last time so how am I supposed to know if it’s much better or not?. The September results were: TSH - 0.03 [0.35-4.94] FT4 - 20.1 [9.0-19.0] FT3 - 4.89 [

I’m travelling to the US. Anything I should know about bringing in B12 SI supplies. And can I buy them there? Thanks.

Full list of autoimmune tests I got
This has come up in various threads, so I figure it's worth posting. I got all these in search of severe then-unspecific neuro/immune troubles. There are always more tests, but this covers a good set. -- The ones with ** are esp common rheum tests : ------- PROTEIN ELECTROPHORESIS SERUM CK

Feeling worse
Hi all Hope everyone's had a good start to 2024. I was started on levothyroxine 25mcg on 19th December, after being on it for 2 weeks I did feel a very slight improvement, it only lasted a couple days, and have been feeling worse since. The levo was teva brand. I have collected my new month prescription

Strange results! Would value opinions.
February 2022 on 125mcg Levo TSH 0.04 (0.27-4.2) FT3 5.22 (3.1-6.8) FT4 19.1 (12-22) January 2024 125 Levo 3mcg Lio TSH 0.0008 (0.27-4.2) FT3 4.7 (3.1-6.8) FT4 18.1 (12-22) After about a year adding Lio why has my FT3 lowered ?! Seems very odd. I mean I do feel quite a bit better. Still a slump

Vestibular Neuritis
Hi everyone, I woke up on New Year's Day with the room spinning around me. Very scary! Diagnosed as vestibular neuritis. My question is, I usually self inject weekly which I have continued to do. I don't know if I'm imagining it but the vertigo symptoms seem to greatly improve for a couple of days

At What Level Is Low B12 Treated?
Hi! I recently had some blood tests and my B12 came back low at 180, normal range 197-771. My folate was 4.7, normal range 3.9-26.8. Full blood count and ferritin fine, I had iron deficiency anaemia and have been successful treated for that and all those levels looking good. My question is, at what

update
well after getting my labs back from Dr. Cooper I have to say that I am a little disappointed in the fact that he said my feretin levels were good at 51. I have understood from you guys that it needs to be at least 100 so him saying that 51 is good disappoints me. That being said I received my results

interpreting results
Hi everyone, I’ve recently ordered a blood test to check my TSH, T4 and T3 levels. I’m also having my antibodies, ferritin, vit D, B12 and folate checked aswell. I’m fine interpreting the results of the vitamins and minerals, and I also understand that the higher the TSH the more underactive you are

DX 5 years on Dec 26th. What I’ve learned about my PD. Please Read! It might be helpful.
PD is very common in my family. My dad and his dad had it. I have almost no hope they will ever cure it because it’s so complex. Here is what caused my Parkinson’s. (IMO) 1.Genetics. This is something you cannot change. I know my genes have issues with clearing out toxins? PD is a man made disease

A suggestion that is working well, for me at least. AT least for now.
I think RLS can have several triggers, as well as several things that help. Sometimes it changes and what worked often does not neccessarily work each time. It may work again, but in the meantime, you need something else. Certainly avoiding foods or substances that bother and trigger the RLS, is a

How quickly would B12 Levels drop post injection?
Hello, I had 6 loading doses of B12 in September following a B12 level of <145 (test doesn’t specify below that cut off) I had some symptoms including muscle aches particularly my legs above my knees, anxiety, panic attacks, fatigue, dizziness and pins and needles on my left hand. No evidence of anaemia

Sunlight relief
For the last 4 days I have had no PMR pain or stiffness. Why? I am on St Kitts, where there is abundant sunshine. I'm probably making tons of vitamin D. Although since my PMR commenced in Dec 2022 I have taken a vitamin D pill daily, I can't trace any relief to that. As for "perfect" days, I've had
