Too much b12?
As a coeliac I don’t absorb b12 and after much stress with doctors I had the 2wks of loading doses and one every 3 mths with doctor. I pay for an injection in the other months and take Clean b12 tablets daily. As I thought your body can’t overdose I’ve been taking two b12 at night instead of one, and

scared again. Blood in urine.
So I’ve previously had blood in urine, and urination issues non stop since that time. Approximately 3-4 years ago. I was peeing loads and had sensitive bladder. I had the Cystoscope (worst experience of my life). And mri scans as well as ultrasound. They all found nothing. I was discharged despite no

Low Potassium/High Calcium Caution
Hi Guys I had a mineral check via a hair test and a DNA Methylation report via a mouth swab (corrected 16 June as I had them the wrong way round) as suggested by a nutritionist who has been helping me sort my gut and auto-immune issues. I wasn't expecting much ... but how lovely to be pleasantly surprised

Phlegmy chest and snotty nose - B12 reversing symptoms??
Hi all, I recently completed my 6 loading doses and am 4 weeks away from my 12 week top up. I am glad to say that most of the B12D issues have subsided if not disappeared (these were lethargy, numbness in thumb and forefinger and occasional twitches in right eyelid -not serious by other B12D suffers

Am I reversing out?
I feel like death. Every other time when I’ve been put on B12, twice before I noticed a gradual improvement in all my symptoms. My gp gave me loading doses only so I then nose dived. my main symptoms have always been frequent urination (I’ve had all other possibilities behind this checked and apparently

These are my student daughter's results. She is at uni in Edinburgh and struggling to find g.p. practice to take her on. She has an iron panel coming too but sample haemolised so have to redo it. These are first blood tests and she is not taking any supplements. Please advise on thoughts and next

Antibiotic for UTI
I have been prescribed nitrofurantoin from my surgery for my UTI. Bearing in mind they don’t acknowledge that I have a b12 deficiency, should I be taking them? I did mention it to the triage nurse I spoke. I started B12 injections a couple of weeks ago, so hoping it won’t cause me any problems, but

needle size for IM injection?
just wanted to know what needle size I should be using? I am not sure what size the gp was using and was concerned the ones I am using may be a bit to short. I say this as although I am using the same b12 they do, it’s seeming less effective than when I had them through my gp.

FasFasting before blood test
hi, following my last post, my gp has agreed to add B12, ferritin etc to my annual thyroid review. I've been told here to not take my usual morning dose before the test;however, looking online most medical websites say its not necessary to fast. Anyone care to clarify for me please. thanks

HelloI have asked for advice previously in relation to my mum. She has been taking levo 25 for a while now. We have managed to get a new test completed and her TSH has increased quite a lot. FT3/4 at the lower end of range. She is also deficient in B12. We have been waiting a while for these so as

Warfarin and B12 injections?
Could anyone tell me if oral anticoagulation treatment has caused them any issues with B12 injections please? My father is on Warfarin for long-standing atrial fibrillation although I suspect that it was/is actually a B12 problem. He needs injections (family metabolism failure) but his doctor is uninterested

More test results to understand
I have now seen an endocrinologist and had another set of tests. My TSH is not measurable at < 0.02, my FT4 is within range at 20.9 (11-22.7) and my FT3 is 5.9 (3.5 -6.5), much higher than it has ever been before. My previous results on 15/04 were TSH 0.02, FT4 23.6 (12-22), FT3 4.7 (3.1-6.8). These

Negative Reply from GP
I wrote to my GP advising the fact I had an iron infusion and hade started EOD B12 injections, etc. and asking if I could have the B12 ampoules on prescription. Needless to say I didn’t really expect them to say yes, and they didn’t surprise me! However I am very angry that they won’t accept the fact

B12 and feet
Hi all, Have posted before. I have been on 3 monthly B12 injections for a long time, and recently been put on 2 monthly injections after a blood test due to symptoms getting worse. One symptom that seems to be getting worse, very hot feet, pins & needles really painful to walk on. Any suggestions

Latest Medicheck results
I would really welcome any advice and comments on my latest Medicheck results as I am continuing to experience fatigue on a daily basis and generally feeling poo. I followed the guidelines of when to take Levothyroxine but continued to take B12 as I feel too unwell without it. TIA.
