Thank you very much clivealive . I just wish that the medical profession would read this article . I think of the misery caused to so many by being deficient in B12 . , and am overwhelmed by RAGE. because the medical profession displays such ignorance to it ( you just need to read some of the desperate posts on this forum ) ……. I could scream . 😱

I wondered what "medical" qualifications the author of the article was and was amazed when I "Googled" her -

Solen Le Net joined Express.co.uk as a production journalist, before joining the Health team in 2021. She specialises in breaking health news and the latest studies and reports into symptoms, treatments and cures. solen.net@reachplc.com.

I hope that you are keeping as well as you are able.

Take care now

She must be the reason that, if any newspaper reports on B12 deficiency, it is always the Express. Thanks, Clive - and Solen Le Net !

Great article Clive.

I no longer have a need to attend the incontinence clinic ! Since self injecting that side of things has much improved.

I hope you and yours are both keeping well.

I am pleased to read of your improvement Jillymo in my case the "problem" is ongoing, but most likely being due to my age. Either that or down to the fact that when I was in Harefield Hospital for a lung biopsy, and whilst "tied to the bed" afterwards with a pleural drain back in 2005, the staff steadfastly "refused" to bring me a bottle time after time. My bladder has never been the same after that. 😭

I have heard many complain of not being brought a bottle or pan when needed myself included. I was unable to urinate in a straight line which added to my problem. This has rectified since the injections but returns if in a flare or I over do it. I introduced pumpkin seed oil which many men use for prostate urinary control.

I dont think I would have like to have gone through the pleural drainage process. What a grand worrior you are to have conquered so many hurdles during your life.......

And guess what your still our much loved Clive Alive !

The collagen part was new to me, but they don't quite explain the mechanism. So many things B12 effects of course...

Since I started self injecting my incontinence problem seems to have dried up...

*ba rum tsh *

Don't know what to do with all these incontinence pads I bought!

Until I'd received my course of B12 'loading ' injections I had faecal incontinence. I could be only two minutes away from my house and still have an 'accident '.

I got really annoyed when my doctor and other people said " Oh don't worry, that can happen to anyone with diarrhoea "

- No, I didn't have diarrhoea !

I was talking about being unable to hold on to a normal stool !

I self inject weekly, and if I 'miss' a dose , I can still have a " near miss " !

Fortunately I have been spared that "problem" in my fifty-one years with P,A.

Mind you I might have had it had I been put on the suggested diet of raw liver three times a day.

I wish you well
