B12 OVERDOSE
In my idle moments I was browsing around and came across Livestrong.com where it states many false ideas, including that B12 is not excreted in urine, too much can give you HEART ATTACK, and a few others. I have pointed them here and asked them to correct their information, but I don't suppose they

Is it worth doing pernicious anemia test with active B12 of 68?
I'm working on getting my levels of B12, folate, ferritin and D up to ideal levels, if I can, for my thyroid. I recently got a B12 result from monitor my health of 68 pmol/L (range 38-210). I have read that you can still have B12 deficiency even if your B12 is around my level (I heard over 70 is needed

Feeling really low at the minute. Sorry this is a long one but just want to write it all down.
After Nstemi in March, I went back to work in April. Was feeling pretty good apart from a burning sensation in the chest area not quite every day. I am on the gold standard meds, apparently and the GP advised that my 3 months was up to and to stop clopidogrel on 14 June. Which I did. He increased my

Advice please on blood results please - confused - too much levo?
Hi everyone. It's taken me a while to get it together to write this post and I apologise in advance for its length. Silent Reflux and B12 Deficiency- Any Link?
Hello! I was diagnosed with low B12 following a blood test in December last year, on injections but only had 3 of the 6 loading doses then was moved on to one every three months due to severe side effects that worried my GP. Had my first of the 3 monthly ones a few weeks ago and all went well. I saw

PA, or just getting older?
I recently came across an article about PA and back pain. I wonder if I can blame my B12 deficiency for my sciatica and wrist tendonitis? I had thought of them as unrelated. In a way this would be good news as it means they might improve as I get my B12 levels back up. PA seems to cause so many symptoms

The Level of Serum Pepsinogen in Diagnosing and Evaluating the Severity of Subacute Combined Degeneration Due to Vitamin B12 Deficiency
It's well known that B12 deficiency results in gastrointestinal symptoms, but this is a new twist for me: https://www.frontiersin.org/articles/10.3389/fneur.2021.604523/full

New small sub cut needles..
I've recently bought the small needles after advice on this platform to change from IM to Subcutaneous and advised not to pinch skin. However yesterday my daughter was discharged from hospital following surgery and the nurse demonstrated giving blood thinning injections with longer needle pinching

stopping Hydrea for 8 weeks…
Good evening from Queensland 🌼 Just sharing that I saw Dr Cleary, my haematologist, today. She decided to take me off Hydrea for 8 weeks to see if my symptoms subside and if the Hydrea is causing them. I haven’t been on a high dose of Hydrea. I began in May on 500mg every 2nd day. Then the past 2

Hi all! It's been awhile since I posted anything. I've been doing about 5 injections of methylcobalamin a week, for several years now. I take a food based multi with 800 mcg of folate, pretty much just on the days I inject. My naturopath doctor prescribed methyl folate. I took a1000mcg dose and

Success with GP - for now
Just had an appointment with my GP and after lots of persuasion and me quoting NICE guidelines at him, he's agreed to reinstate my previous daily 100mcg Levo. 🥳This does come with the condition of reassessing in 6-8 weeks after bloods done. (I'll cross that bridge when I get there) I got the usual
