Hello all. Following advice from SlowDragon, got GP to agree to Vit testing as T3 low and as SlowDragon though they would, they drew blood for Thyroid levels , too! Must say here, too, after GPS lowered my Levo, because I had too many hypo symptoms return, I upped the dose from 175 to 200 as on 200

any tips/advice
I have recently started taking some supplements like lions mane,
vitamin
d,
a
B complex, ashwagandha and N-acetyl cysteine. I’m gluten and dairy free and a vegetarian. I think Im relatively fit but probably could do with losing a round 6/7 lbs.

Heme vs Non-Heme Iron Supplements
Since being diagnosed with low ferritin three months ago, I've been on ferrous sulfate tablets (1 - 65mg along with 500 mg
vitamin
C twice
a
day with meals). It's been working fine (went from 11 to 45 in a month) without any side effects.

Blood work and scans
AST - 42 ALT - 53 MCV - 99.3 Red cell folate - 255 Gamma GT - 100 Phosphate - 0.75 Ferritin - 643 25 OH Vitamin - 17 My GP didn’t really seen that concerned and prescribed me
a
vitamin
D injection and Folic acid. I would, however, like to follow up on this by getting a private scan.

Sunlight relief
Although since my PMR commenced in Dec 2022 I have taken
a
vitamin
D pill daily, I can't trace any relief to that. As for "perfect" days, I've had them rarely, nothing like this. Has anyone tried large doses of vitamin D? Did it help? How much vitamin D is too much?

Vitamin B12—Multifaceted In Vivo Functions and In Vitro Applications
Research indicates that
vitamin
B12 deficiency leads to indirect DNA damage, and
vitamin
B12 supplementation may reverse this effect.
Vitamin
B12 acts as
a
cofactor for enzymes such as methionine synthase and methylmalonyl-CoA mutase, which are involved in DNA methylation and nucleotide synthesis.
