Piriformis Syndrome
Hi everyone I was diagnosed with PMR in March 2020, started on 15 mg. Reduced by 1mg each month, had to return to 10 mg in January 2021. Decreasing slowly and now down to 8.5mg. Towards the end of January Piriformis pain came back, I’d experienced the same thing in October 2020. Have been doing

Myasthenia and Lupus?
Has anyone on here with double vision gone on to be investigated for, or diagnosed with, myasthenia gravis? I've had a Lupus diagnosis for 20 years with double vision occurring occasionally with the flares, lasting a few weeks. However I've had horizontal and vertical double vision for the last 6 months

Weight gain
Can anyone explain to me in simple terms why, if you are hypo, there is weight gain? My weight seems to be galloping away and I don’t seem to have any control whatsoever. I have been through periods of practically starving myself to prove a point with very little weight loss. It’s becoming a bit of

Hello. New to the forum but not to OA. Thought I’d say hello and add my story.
I posted this in another thread so I apologize if you have read it already. I did not pay attention to the length of time since the last comment so that post is buried toward the bottom. I enjoy research so I hope to add some articles or links to help all of us in our daily and sometimes hourly battle

New diagnosis of CKD
My husband fit and well and told he is CKD 3a such a shock. He is on the Dr Moseley diet and loosing weight only needs a stone to loose but most of the food like tomatoes etc are in this healthy weight loss diet, he so enjoys the food but getting so confused on what he can and cannot eat. Why no lentils

Pressure Behind The Eyes From Thyroid Medication?
I started on 1/4 grain of armour thyroid and after a couple of days I noticed an immense build-up of pressure behind my eyes, as well as exophthalmos; after a week, I started to develop
vision
loss
, intraocular hypertension and thousands of eye floaters, so I ceased treatment.

High IOP’s but NOT GLAUCOMA. Why continue with drops?
Happily the glaucoma consultant said not Glaucoma and peripheral
vision
loss
is due to previous surgeries. Cups fine and optic nerves look very healthy. He said edema seems under control now. So, why do I still need the drops continuously and follow up appt?

Has anyone taken Vinpocetine with Rasagiline and Amantadine?
If you have taken this combination please let me know. I want to add Vinpocetine to my daily supplements but I’m concerned about any interactions with Amantadine and Rasagiline. Thank you my enlightened friends.

What's your goal for 2021 health wise? How are you going to there? Inspiration post!
Hi Everyone! :) I thought we could inspire each other to reach our big and small health goals- not necessarily related to Hashi! 1.I'm finally at my ideal weight so maintaining that is my goal number 1 2.My sleep has suffered horribly so improving that is strong runner up! Trying different techniques

Key Difference – Thiamine Mononitrate vs Thiamine Hydrochloride
Both Thiamine Mononitrate and Thiamine Hydrochloride are sources of Thiamine (vitamin B1). Thiamine mononitrate is prepared from Thiamine hydrochloride by removing chloride ion and mixing the final product with a nitric acid. This is the key difference between Thiamine mononitrate and Thiamine hydrochloride
