COPD... Symbicort or Budesonide??
Hi All, I tried Spiriva and had fast heart beat, so had to come off it. I've tried a few steroids and not worked too well raised my anxiety etc or just felt generally unwell. Heard good things about budesonide and I'm taking ventolin anyway, so may stick with this or should is it best just to go

Most people with asthma
Hi Asthma UK. You say in your post regarding the vaccine and PG 6 query for vaccine that "We now know that for most people with asthma their risk of dying from COVID19 is no greater than that of a person who doesn't have asthma at all." Just wondering.... Could you expand on who "most people" refers

Uncontrolled Asthma, repeated asthma attacks every day. Do I have bronchiectasis?
I am 52, slim, fit, healthy and quite fit with a balanced healthy diet no milk but plenty of bio yoghurt. I supplement with vit c, vit D and probiotics daily. I have had asthma since 4yo, productive chesty cough for twenty five years, chest infections two to six times a year swiftly cleared by Amoxicillin

Just looking for some advice. Only recently diagnosed with asthma (don’t know type etc yet) so still learning as my asthma nurse says lol. Hope everyone is doing ok. I have recently changed jobs and finding I am still quite breathless when walking up stairs and walking fast on the level. I tried my ventolin

Coping with breathlessness
Hi all. Hope everyone is managing to stay as well as possible under these difficult circumstances. I need to ask for a bit of advice/support. I have severe asthma, and often struggle with breathlessness during activities that for most people my age wouldn’t present a problem (brisk walking, stairs, gentle

Wheezing Cough
Takes me about an hour in the morning to stop coughing, as soon as I get out of bed I feel so bunged up in my chest and throat & I really can’t stop coughing until I clear mucus . That’s not easy as it doesn’t want to clear , my shoulders and head hurt and I can’t breathe very well even with the ventolin

Struggling with Covid and asthma.
Update: 02/02/21 Hubby and I finally well enough to leave hospital to continue our recovery. It's going to be a long haul as we both have on going issues due to Covid. Thank you for the well wishes. Home at last after 10 days in hospital. Can't fault the care we received throughout. Update: 29/01/21

Emphysema
My pip tribunal is tomorrow. I think the dwp is trying to down play the problems i have with my breathing. They stated on their reasons about my claim that a inhaler i was given is used for moderate copd, although i have sent in evidence of my condition that states i have severe emphysema(significant

Worried for the future of Asthmatics
I'm very concerned about a policy shift within my medical practice which I'm told is actually government driven. I'm asthmatic and have been since childhood, it's no big deal, I manage it pretty well but during the course of my day I invariable need to use my Ventolin inhaler. There's triggers I try

Asthma symptoms whilst taking Fostair
Hi, hope you are all doing ok. I’ve got a question I hope you’ll be able to clear up for me. Just before Christmas my meds were swapped from Duoresp spiromax 320/9 2 puff, twice a day, to Fostair on a SMART regime. As I was reducing steroids over the first week, I was told to take 8puffs for 2 weeks

Lung restriction and mucus blocking airways
I’m a 42 year old man. I’ve always had mild asthma since I was a teenager, but had got worse now at 42. I’ve smoked cigarettes a bit in the past and smoked cannabis which hadn’t helped my breathing capacity but I’ve been fairly fit at different stages in my life Where I would jog regularly and use gym

When do I... 🤔🤔
Hi everyone. Another (hopefully quick) infomercial post, to (hopefully) clear up any uncertainties people have about when the should be doing certain things. So without further ado; WHEN DO I TAKE MY RELIEVER? When you’re symptomatic 😉. If you’re in a coughing fit (that feels asthma-ry), wheezing,
