COPD... Symbicort or Budesonide??

Hi All,

I tried Spiriva and had fast heart beat, so had to come off it.

I've tried a few steroids and not worked too well raised my anxiety etc or just felt generally unwell.

Heard good things about budesonide and I'm taking ventolin anyway, so may stick with this or should is it best just to go for symbicort as thats with formoteral? Would that be better in any way or?

Anybody's experience with the above please? Side effects? Dosages? Please any info would be appreciated as hope I don't buy yet another inhaler and can't take it!

Thanks All and for the previous responses I've had too!

I haven't had either of those inhalers but I would say that it is very often trial and error trying different one's to see which suit and which don't. When you spoke of being reluctant to buy more did you mean pay for more prescriptions? If so, a prepayment certificate may be worth considering. If you feel that spiriva isn't helping please see your doctor or nurse. Ventolin is only a reliever, not a preventer which the others are.

I hope you find an inhaler that works for you. I also am having issues with finding an inhaler that I don't have side effects from. It is costly trying an inhaler and not being able to use it! I will be going back this week to my doctor to once again try something different! Was on Advair and had skin rash and now on Spiriva and having severe eye irritation. There had to be something out there for us!!🤔
