Asthma flare after covid vaccine
Has anyone had an asthma flare up after a covid vaccine (astrazeneca)? It could be complete coincidence, but my asthma is being an absolute pain and not responding as well as normal to ventolin (though interestingly is responding to extra formoterol). I am wondering if there's a link, as my asthma

Action plan conundrum
Sorry, this may become a bit long. After an flair over Christmas I realised I had no up-to-date action plan. My Symbicort/Smart was changed to Fostair a year or so ago due to thrush issues. And it has been ok, but I got no new action plan, and then Covid hit, and I just didn’t think about it. Anyway

Add on of Atrovent
Hi, Hope everyone is well. I’m having another flare up of my asthma, it has been poorly controlled for about 6 months and I’m on my third lot of prednisolone. I’ve only ever been on one steroid inhaler which is currently Fostair 100/6, having switched to this from Duoresp Spiromax 320/9 a couple of

Steroid inhaler which doesn't raise anxiety!!
Hi All, I've been on the search for a decent steroid inhaler with minimal side effects and mainly not to mess with anxiety Etc! Latest one I've tried is Symbicort! Raised my anxiety along with other horrible symptoms! So I'm guessing its formoteral at fault, as had same issue with Fostair! Any body

Too much Fostair
Hi I have a cough and accidentally took 4 bad puffs of Fostair 200/6 in the night instead of ventolin. Bad isn’t that I was coughing lots so coughed out, but still 4 puffs. Any advise? Thought I’d skip morning dose and use ventolin. Then eve as normal? It’s really not a bad cough and my asthma is

Any insight or advice into how long Clenil takes to work, and when to step up medication?
Hi all, I have had two different medical opinions and so just wondered if anyone could offer any insight before my review tomorrow. I am new to asthma and have been put on Clenil 16 days ago. I was also given a 5 day course of prednisone steroid tablets at the same time. The Pred made me fully better

Tips for dealing with Drs who don't get peak flow is personal...
I've finally got my (re-)referral appointment tomorrow but unfortunately with the same doctor who told me I needed to reduce my meds as my peak flow was too high 🤦🏻♀️, this was despite needing ventolin a few times a week and having quite large daily and day to day variability in my peak flow. She

Why dont Asthma UK product merchandise ?
Hello all , hope you are all ok. I wondered why Asthma UK don't sell things for income and awareness. Why not a mask with their logo ? Don't get me wrong the masks have been difficult for me to wear during my shopping adventures : ) I managed to get my first Coronavirus jab today on the first

Braltus plus ventolin
I am using braltus once daily plus ventolin when sob , they don’t seem to be helping much still sob with a wheezy cough. I haven’t seen posts about Braltus and wonder if there’s something better out there that I can mention to my Doctor as I’m still only getting telephone calls with them & still no idea

Am I imagining this??
So, tonight I went to bed early (long week and not feeling the best), and I have a fan going. I don’t always sleep with a fan, but wanted the cool air on me tonight. I don’t know if I am imagining this but, when I turned over and faced the cool air, I suddenly noticed I could breathe a little better.

Sob and sats of 94
Hello My asthma settled recently however for the last 3 days I’ve been becoming increasingly SOB and have needed ventolin alongside the fostair (I use fostair 4x a day) I did my sats out of interest (tho I know these aren’t often helpful with asthma) as I feel quite ‘weird’ and they are dipping to

Needing a lot of Ventolin for mild symptoms- not unwell enough to call 999 but using up to 10 or more puffs- is this normal?
Hi. I’m new to having Adult Onset Asthma/ Long Covid/ Covid-induced Asthma/Allergies? (Doctors unsure of diagnosis) After several attacks over 3 weeks and two big attacks, I’ve been put on a 5 day course of 30mg Prednisone along with Clenil 4 times a day and an antihistamine every day. My doctor

Why is my breathing suddenly so bad?
I have had asthma for years but although I admit I generally haven't taken my preventer regularly I have felt very comfortable. Suddenly my symptoms have become severe. No cough, just tight and unable to breathe easily. When it first started it was terrifying as my chest, diaphragm and ribs felt exhausted

Advice?
Hey guys, I haven't posted here in a long time so I hope everyone is doing well. I've had asthma since I was 13 and I'm 21 now. For the most part I manage my symptoms quite well but these last few days have been rough. I've noticed that my nose has been extra runny and I'm pretty sure I've developed

Another attack
Feeling somewhat annoyed. My asthma just isn’t settling down. Now on another course of prednisolone for seven days. . Seem to be needing that every 6 to 8 weeks. I’m under the care of a respiratory consultant. And still have a barrage of test to be done. If been walking as much as I can but have

Trimbow v Braltus
I've been lurking a while, my wife has COPD and T1 diabetes for 50+ years. Also a lifetime smoker. Paradoxically, the COPD has worsened considerably in the year since she stopped. After recent exchange with her GP we switched from Braltus to Trimbow and the improvement in frequency and severity of flare

So I'm waiting for an ambulance but never been to hospital before - what to expect?
So I've been on 30 mg of pred for a month and the last few days have been bad again. GP suspects a chest infection on top and added antibiotics but it's 3 days later and I'm still needing Ventolin every couple of hours. I've called 111 and they are sending an ambulance, but I've never been hospitalised
