I've been lurking a while, my wife has COPD and T1 diabetes for 50+ years. Also a lifetime smoker. Paradoxically, the COPD has worsened considerably in the year since she stopped. After recent exchange with her GP we switched from Braltus to Trimbow and the improvement in frequency and severity of flare ups has been extraordinary to the extent that the use of Ventolin has declined from say 6 a day to one or two. Does this fit in with other's experience? No apparent side effects either in her case, made me wonder if the "double the cost" factor plays a part in which inhaler is prescribed?

Trimbow v Braltus
Good to see you GypsyDad and I’m pleased your wife is doing better on Trimbow. I hope she continues to do well. Xxx
Thanks Sassy
Since switching to trimbow I use less ventolin and my SATs are better. However I am more short of breath but that is probably due to extreme loss of weight and muscle wastage. Take care and I hope she continues to be stable.
Thanks Mike- our crisis was when breathlessness became 'unable to breath' in the middle of the night. The Trimbow has worked a miracle in that regard, can't quite believe it!
M glad Trim ow has worked for your wife.I was on it for a couple of months it didn’t work well for me. It just shows that different inhalers work for different people.
I’m m back On Fostair now.
It’s been ok,not ideal, but my asthma is complicated by interstitial lung disease,so Ill settle for that.
Ihope thatyourwife feels a bit better soon.
