Blue inhalers
HI I have been using the blue Ventolin inhaler for a while. Last time I collected my prescription the inhaler was smaller. It has "Ivax" on the plastic dispenser. I find that when I inhale it triggers a cough and I cannot get the dose from the cannister. It seems to be the same ingredients as the larger

Yellow Zone
So, I'll just preface this by saying my GP does know this and I'm waiting for a referral. Basically, I'm constantly going into the yellow zone of my Peak Flow daily, often multiple times a day. How can this stop happening? I'm currently taking Fostair 200/6 2 puffs twice a day and an additional 2 puffs

Hi guys, new here. I had a GP appointment recently and she's said she's not sure what else to do with me and that she's going to refer me on, specifically mentioning Royal Free. Has anyone been there? What's it like? What happens? I'm on Fostair 200/6 2 puffs twice a day and 2 additional puffs if needed

Told no more asthma
Hello i was diagnosed with asthma in 2013 after periods of breathing problems. I took clenil daily and through my pf readings they improve when I have taken it, when I wasn't taking and when I'm ill I get a maximum score of 400 but when triggers such as dust and I'm away from work I hit 550 to 600.

Do you think it would be possible to switch from a normal ventolin inhaler to an Easi-Breathe by IVAX?
Hi all, I play a lot of sport and struggle with my asthma whilst doing so. I am currently on a brown inhaler also. When i’m breathless I struggle with the mechanics of timing the normal spray ventolin. Do u recon they’d allow me to try the one which it’s pressured release ie the ivax easi-breathe?

So it continues 😢 input please....
Hey folks, bear with me, for those that have not come across my story It started with a vape, woke up couldn’t breathe, felt like my lungs were filled with fluid, not sick, just hacking up a lung. Got marginally better 5 days in then 100 x worse.... 7 days doxycycline, didn’t help. Steroid inhalers.

Should I reduce or stop my running? - low peak flow and low oximetry readings recently & after running
I've recently been running more and more in preparation for a half marathon. However, my peak flow has dropped and I've been taking more ventolin and more becotide inhalors. I'm male 5'7'' 44yo and my good peak flow is about 450 but the best I've blown in the last year is about 430. Good for me is

Update and What have people been told about having Covid jab while taking prednisolone?
Hi all, Aaargh!,, 😫😩🤬Just offloading. I’m really so fed up I could scream! 🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️ I’ve been trying to manage SoB using ventolin (as well as usual meds) over the last couple of days, but it’s not lasting 4 hours. I’ve had to admit defeat and start taking pred again even though it’s only 3

Help with night wheeze and cough please
Hello, I was diagnosed with asthma a year ago, it has been well managed until hitting a bug a few weeks ago. My Dr has prescribed a second prescription of steroids and antibiotics to help kick it. I'm unable to get up and do anything with a coughing fit. But nights are my enemy. I wake up hourly unable

Do I need to restart prednisolone after a few episodes of breathlessness?
Hi all, hope you’re ok. After 6 courses (and stepping down) of prednisolone over the last 7 months, I finished my last ones 18 days ago. I found that I needed ventolin once a day for the first few days after, then was fine with breathing for the next 8 days without any ventolin, just still had a cough

0 benefits from steroids, good benefit from ventolin
I'm on max daily dose of inhaled steroids, but they are like water for me... they do nothing. I need to use ventolin and paracetamol everyday which are effective. My persistent asthma is uncontrolled and get very bad especially in the early afternoon, and steroids do nothing... Anyone like me?

Anyone have experience with symbicort? Being swapped to it as apparently they are trying to reduce salbutamol use?
I've just had a review for my asthma and they are changing me to symbicort 2 puffs twice a day and I'm now to use it as my reliever too? I'm currently on Fostair 1 puff twice a day and ventolin but she said with current guidelines they are trying to reduce the amount of salbutamol use as its better to

COPD medication
Hi all My Dad 86yrs has recently been diagnosed with COPD. He’s absolutely fine sitting down , he’s chatty & can still sing. He has 2 inhalers ( ventolin. & a once a day bronchial inhaler) They don’t seem to be doing any good. He can just about walk 10 steps before he so short of breath he’s almost collapsed
