I play a lot of sport and struggle with my asthma whilst doing so. I am currently on a brown inhaler also. When i’m breathless I struggle with the mechanics of timing the normal spray ventolin. Do u recon they’d allow me to try the one which it’s pressured release ie the ivax easi-breathe?

I can't see why not. The other option is to use a spacer, which is good practice anyway for both preventer and reliever inhalers - the chamber holds the medication while it's breathed in so the timing issue is removed.
I agree with Twinkly on both counts - worth asking but also maybe try a spacer.
A spacer doesn't have to be the massive Volumatic, you can get smaller ones to have out and about. A lot of people use Aerochamber; I buy my own off Amazon so I get a choice and I prefer the Able as you can keep the inhaler inside it to save space.
I guess it may depend on if you prefer to have the inhaler in your pocket vs at the side in a bag, depending what kind of sports you do.
Good to know, thank you - I just find the spacer a bit bulky and i play football so something small would be handy. I asked about it before and they gave me a powdered one which i didn’t get on with. Hopefully they let me as it’s same drug just different mechanics
Hi FoskrI use the IVAX easybreathe inhaler and have done for a long time. I think it’s much better for me as I work in areas where I am unable to carry or use any size spacer ( they all seem so big!) I only have room for one small inhaler.
Ask your dr - I don’t see why it should be a problem and it’s a matter of preference after all - it’s what works for you!
Just keep practicing, children manage to use ventolin and don't feel embarrassed using one in public , people need to be educated so you'd be doing a public service! I always had a quick puff in the changing room pre sports or the gym & using a spacer. As someone said there's a spacer in to which you can carry the ventolin
