Well I stuck with the trimbow for 4 weeks and found it didn't really work for me. The effects had worn off by early afternoon and my breathing was awful although my mucus was looser and much easier to shift. On the upside since coming off fostair all my muscle pains and cramps vanished.

So after chatting at length with the nurse I am trying trelegy. Bizarre to just be using something once a day BUT so far so good. Noticed on the first day that I hadn't been grabbing my ventolin at all and even cleaned windows in the evening.

Does anyone else use it?

Hi Annie,

I used a wide range of inhalers that didn't work, but that is the nature of my disease. It's funny because today a friend of mine mentioned she was just put on Trelegy and says it is helping a lot. So, I hope good things for you😊. Sometimes it just takes time to find the right "one". Have a lovely Saturday.

Thanks, it's good to hear positive comments. I'm finding it takes a while to kick in after taking it but can live with that. I'm just glad that I am being listened to by the resp nurse after years of being given ventolin and fostair although it wasn't helping much.

I'm booked for pr too for the end of the month.

Also confidence has been knocked after lockdown so looking forward to some help and advise.

Trelegy Ellipta ? Yes I use it , after a long list of other trial inhalers.Game changer for myself , even from first day of use.

I haven't had trelegy but I went through a whole range of inhalers before finding a regime that suited me. Glad that you are feeling the benefit of your new treatment and I hope that it continues. I too have a respiratory nurse who listens. It makes a big difference. Hope your PR helps too. You aren't alone in having had your confidence take a knock during the pandemic. Best wishes.

I don't use it but I have heard good reports from people who are using it.

I recall years ago when one of the drugs in it (umeclidinium bromide) was going through trials, there was a lot of conflicting benefits and side affects back then. Now though its likely because it is in a smaller dose along with the two other meds in Trelegy I've heard from users that it works well for them.

Do let us know later on how you are getting on with it.

Congrats in achieving the window cleaning - mine need doing but at the moment try to conserve energy for short walks and garden.

Well I am feeling encouraged. This is day 2 and done some more windows and managed to hang the washing on the line. Until today I had a chair next to the washing li e and had to have a rest between every couple of items. Been a long time since I did it in one go.My little dog has been diagnosed as diabetic and needs more walking and today we managed a bit further than usual so aiming to add a few more yards on daily. Have to admit that the short dog walks have been a confidence issue too with a combination of covid and dog napping but have given myself a good talking to !!!!

Annie,I have been on Trelegy for a bit over 18 months and I think it is terrific. Unbelievable that it's just one puff a day, that makes life so much easier. Glad it is doing a good job for you. Keep it up.
