Pocket nebulizer
I need a small nebulizer for work as I use ventolin nebs, and was just wondering if anyone could give me any advice on a good one to purchase. Ive had a look on amazon but there are so many options not to sure which one to choose. I have another nebulizer for use at home which is very good but much

Ventolin or Salamol
I got a letter from the doctor's office this morning trying to persuade us to go on to Salamol since it has a much lower carbon footprint than Ventolin. I've got to reply within a fortnight or they will automatically switch me on to the Salamol. I've been happy with Ventolin but would be grateful

PMDI to DPI
I've been on Ventolin (Salbutamol 100) and Becloforte/Clenil (Beclometasone Dip. 250) in a self managed plan for 31yrs and asthma nurse suggested changing to DPI Easyhalers as it's more environmentally friendly. These are Beclometasone 200 and Salbutamol 200. I have asked GP why Bec. is 200 and am told

No allergies but reacting on pollen?
Yesterday I was in someone's garden for some hours, and suddenly I noticed myself getting breathless and a bit wheezy. Nothing much, and with ventolin I could ease quite quickly. i have been better for at least a year now than I have been for a long time. My asthma is not allergy related, I react on

I have been taking Spiriva respimat for some years now .. On seeing my nurse for annual check up I discussed the fact that some days I am taking over my limit on ventolin and other days less ... I know it's swings and roundabouts with us ... She offered a change of broncodilator to Spiolto Respimat

Hi, I don't post much but this one has got me thinking. Has anyone changed from a Ventolin Inhaler to a Salamol inhaler and found they've got the shakes from it? My GP recently changed me from Ventolin to Salamol stating that it was better for the environment, fewer greenhouse gases yada yada but I

Nebulizers
In my region in England nebulizers have been stopped for home use and therefore ventolin nebules are not prescribed . I bought one years ago as the doctor said it would be advisable to have one and I was prescribed the nebules. I am just wondering if the policy is the same in other areas of the UK?

Stopping inhalers prior investigation.
I've waited a year for a hospital appointment and received a letter yesterday for a FeNO and Full pulmonary function tests with reversibility test. I have to stop Spiriva 72 hrs before no Seretide for 24 hrs and no ventolin for 6 hours prior. Im panicking to say the least I feel I will end up in hospital

Shortness of breath and wheezing
UPDATE: lung function tests normal. Had an ABG (arterial blood gases), results are all over the place, specialist has no idea what’s going on! I have extremely high O2, low CO2, low bicarbonate, low sodium and alkaline pH. Booked in for cardiologist and stress test next week, followed by cardiopulmonary

Trimbow
I take 2 puffs of Trimbow twice a day, has anyone been told they can take more as I feel I need to take it 4 times a day, it's the only thing that helps as I have very severe COPD. I find the Ventolin next to useless. Hope someone can help with my query. Thank you all & hope everyone is as well as can

Scary experience with medication.
As someone with past heart conditions, I take several pills morning and nighttime. These include Bisoprolol which is a very tiny tablet. I often find this gets stuck on the back of my tongue so need water to flush it down. I also suffer from acid reflux which causes me to hiccup quite a lot. A few days

Asthma flare up
So I had my review the other day and the nurse said it doesn’t seem well controlled at the moment and I’ve got a new plan. A new thing that’s started recently is waking up in the night coughing and it’s really exhausting. It’s every few hours, weird cough and also quite worrying. Does anyone have any

Shortness of breath/breathing issues PV
Hi everyone. I am waiting on more tests to confirm Polycythemia Vera. I see from all my research a symptom is breathing issues. Over 20 years ago I was diagnosed with asthma and use preventative and Ventolin. I have always felt this is not asthma, peak flow is perfect and know what asthma looks like
