Ibrutinib is not working any more
I was reading about
Venetoclax
but my worry is that my mother is too old for such medication (she is 80s). Thank you

In afib again
On
venetoclax
.. will be finished with that in September. Not sure about my quality of life anymore. Feel like my life is cut short by this disease and not sure if I should do another ablation. Any advice?

How effective is venetoclax for 17p tp53?
My questions are: How effective is the monotherapy with
venetoclax
for 17p to53? And if it’s better to add Rituximab? He could be on remission a long time? Does the neutropenia dessapear? When he recover all of the energy? He feel a tired.

Opportunity to support the listing of Acalabrutinib and Venetoclax for the treatment of Australians with CLL
funding grants, it would be particularly fitting to have
Venetoclax
approved!

Venetoclax 17p patient
Just a question, I read an article of a profesionals about
Venetoclax
responses, and it says that for young patients with 17p with cll than relapsed to ibutrinib with a progression of the diasease, Ventoclax don’t responde well and you need a stem narrow transplant as theraphy.

Time-Limited Triplet Emerges as a Potential Standard in Relapsed/Refractory CLL
Oncology live May 06, 2020 [i]The time-limited triplet of umbralisib, ublituximab, and
venetoclax
(Venclexta) could potentially become a standard of care for patients with relapsed/refractory chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL) who have progressed on frontline BTK inhibition, according to Paul M.

Good News! BTK inhibitor therapy is effective in patients with CLL resistant to venetoclax
3rd April 2020 Blood
Key points to note:
BTK inhibitor therapy achieves durable disease control for patients with CLL after progression on
venetoclax
. Prior remission duration ≥24 months and deep response on
venetoclax
are associated with longer PFS on subsequent BTKi therapy.

What is the way out of this !
Hi I am 51 and just started on
Venetoclax
after a resistance to Ibrutinib. I have already had a couple of near misses this year with 10 weeks in Hospital from the 6th Jan with a serious chest infection and pneumonia which coincided with low platelets (4), then a blood clot on the lung developed.

Venetoclax and low white count
Does the white count and neutrophils stay low throughout the whole time you take
venetoclax
or will they eventually come up like the hemoglobin and platelets?

B-PLL: Ibrutrinib Monotherapy or Obinutuzumab (aka Gazyva) & Venetoclax Combination as first-line treatment for transformed CLL
We have two CLL experts who propose different treatment plans for first-line therapy: 1) Monotherapy Ibrutinib or Acalabrutinib 2) Combination therapy Gazyva and
Venetoclax
We know that treatment 2 is fixed in duration and holds promise for disease clearance for an indeterminate period of time but

Stem Cell Transplant
My doctor says that after a 2nd remission, meaning after ibrutinib and
venetoclax
have failed that a stem cell transplant is the next option. I have been on IB for 14 months and it has been amazing but I am terrified about doing a stem cell transplant.

Update 3.3 Years Captivate trial, 4.3 years with CLL and so far so good! Now I have to worry about CV-19 ...
The Captivate trial combines Imbruvica with
Venetoclax
. Imbruvica is taken for 3 months then
Venetoclax
is ramped up. ( 20 mg to 50 mg to 100 mg to 200 mg to 400 mg) This protocol worked great for me. I had very bulky nodes and the Imbruvica brought them down in about 1 week. It was amazing.

Leukaemia Care Webinar 8th April - a bit more information
Venetoclax
has the disadvantage of having a bigger negative impact on neutrophils and the need for close monitoring at the start/ramp up phase so unlikely to start on this in the current situation.
