Update on enlarged armpit nodes

Attended RM in the UK today as nodes on my neck had grown and particularly large ones (size of half a tennis ball) under armpits.

Consultant just needed one look at me to say ok time for treatment.

I was given a choice of Ibritunib or Venetoclax with eventually Ritiximab. I chose the latter - hope I've made the right decision.

Starting next week with 2 days in hospital and possibly another stay. PET scan first.

Ok about the treatment but concerned it may be Richter's. Scan will tell I guess.

Things happening quickly :(

Good choice aloneifly.

Let us know how it goes, especially with the PET scan.

Good luck!

All the best to you - many people get tested for RT and it often comes out negative.

Thoughts are with you - please let us know what happens.

V + R is a good treatment. Remember to keep your liquid intake up: drink, drink, drink. Good luck.

I am a little confused about the ramp up to the correct dosage. It was a lot to take in yesterday. I am going in as an in patient for 2 nights next week then I think I repeat the following week. Then is it a weekly blood test before increasing the next dose and the ramp up is in 5 stages. So two hospital in patient stays and 3 weekly blood tests before increasing the dose.

Then when at correct dose monthly sessions of Ritiximab for 6 cycles.

Does that sound right to anyone currently on this therapy?

Thanks

In my trial, you start on 20mg of Venetoclax per day for the first week, then on subsequent weeks increase to 50, 100, 200 and finally 400mg, which you stay on for the rest of the trial.
