Lymph node biopsy update
So relieved and the current treatment with
Venetoclax
and Ritiximab can continue. I seem to responding well. All but one swollen node on my neck gone and armpits (surgery not withstanding) are also back to normal. :)

Have begun Gazyva and soon to begin venetoclax
If everything stays on track, I will begin the ramp up process with
venetoclax
in 2 weeks. Can you give your thoughts on being admitted to a hospital for the first couple of days of the first 2 ramp up weeks in order to easier and better monitor the results.

Venetoclax Weight Gain
My question is weight gain on
Venetoclax
. I am sensitive to this, I am down 51 pounds and I rather like the new me. My weight the first few weeks was down a pound or two. But it has taken an odd shift since I got to 400 mg and I seem to be up about 4 pounds.

Final week of Venetoclax ramp up
Yesterday I took my first 400mg of
Venetoclax
- ramp up has been going well but with a few side effects. Last week’s blood test showed my sodium levels had dropped but consultant didn’t seem too worried.

Treatment time, hard choice!
The treatments I am deciding between are:
Venetoclax
/Obinutuzumab combo - 12 month. Bendamustine/Rituximab and
Venetoclax
/Rituximab 16 month trial. Both treatment options begin with a hospital stay. A little afraid of Covid but hospital numbers are down. And she will closely monitor me for TLS.

Help still needed - anyone willing to share their experience of Venetoclax + Obintuzumab treatment?
Have you have received
Venetoclax
+ Obintuzumab as your first treatment and are you living in Scotland or the UK? It may have been as part of a clinical trial, no matter how long ago. Would you be willing to share your experiences of the treatment by answering a few questions about it?

Excision biopsy
The nodes under my armpit are up to 5cm I'm on
Venetoclax
and just started the 200mg dose. There is no great improvement on my enlarged nodes in neck and axilla so consultant has referred me for an excision biopsy to check for any possible transformation.

O + V: Update 4!
I’ve been on
Venetoclax
since late February, & will continue to be on it until February 2021, I guess. Ramp-up went fine, been on the max dose (400mg) since I hit it in March, I think. Haven’t noticed any major side effects, really. Again, fortunate.

Can Venetoclax/Obinituzimab reduce the risk of additional somatic mutations? - Not necessarily. The BTK inhibitors are excellent at....
The same is not true for
venetoclax
/obinutuzumab. - Ultimately, the only data we have thus far is comparing single agent ibrutinib from one study to single agent
venetoclax
(or
venetoclax
/obinutuzumab) in another study.

Third Time Lucky????
Next Monday, I have been booked in to start my long delayed
Venetoclax
therapy. The 1st start was arranged for December last year but it was postponed because of a norovirus outbreak in the hospital. My next start date was March 16th......well....... say no more about that!!!!

Venetoclax started
They pumped me full of fluids and I had an infusion of rasburicase a few hours before
Venetoclax
. Thankfully my bloods showed no sign of TLS and so one day after starting V I was discharged:) Got to do the same all over again of course but it was almost a pleasurable stay.

My Ibrutinib/Venetoclax journey
Hi all, Hope you are all staying safe in these strange times. Anyway, yet another post on my journey. I went to the research dept for a checkup back in June. Strange visiting a very quiet hospital, but no queues so was speedy. Any way, today I had my regular check up with my consultant and he shared

About to start Venetoclax- what to expect.
Venetoclax
ramp up day one starts tomorrow. What can I expect. Will I feel different? Obviously TLS is the big worry but apart from that wondering if I'm going to experience any other side effects. What do you remember of your first dose of this drug? Thanks
