1st haematology appointment tomorrow, what to expect?
Would I get confirmation of a diagnosis, would I have a
venesection
(as I'm feeling pretty rubbish at the moment) Sorry, I like to have things sorted in my head!

I'M RELATIVELY NEW HERE!
My first post as I was only diagnosed late December 2016 with PVJAK2. I have been reading all your posts with great interest and have found answers to many of my questions on here, relating to symptoms connected to PV, particularly breathlessness and exhaustion - my mind seems to go blank when I see

Mother of all colds
I had my
venesection
10days ago and just wondering is there any correlation in that maybe my system is low so it takes hold more aggressively? Or is it just a super nasty bug. Curious. Xx

New to PA
Hi everyone, I am new here. I hope that you are well. I have been diagnosed with Genetic Haemochromatosis since 2011, I had a few venesections but have required no further treatment except for 6 monthly blood tests. With serum ferritin being at its lowest 11 and transferrin saturation being below 50%

Looking forward to my venesection
I sympathise again with all of you who have posted with fatigue - I'm looking forward to my
venesection
this a Friday as I have arms and legs made of lead and a brain full of porridge.

Update on ferratin levels
Looked at my
venesection
booklet and it said 988-50. So my son and I thought it Was 50 of the 988. But no, my last level reading was 988 and they want it down to 50. F@@@@@g hell that's a damn lot. My 1st time they only took 200mls of blood, next week it will be 400mls they take off me.

Splenomegaly
Hey, I don't often post these days or have time to read everything but I just wanted to put a quick question out there myself today. Anyone experienced a spleen size of 20cm and was that ok? I was experiencing dull aches mostly at night lying in bed, you know those moments when you want to do nothing
