Nexium related kidney disease
Hello I’m new here. Just got diagnosed with stage 3 kidney disease my doctors seem to think it’s from being on nexium for 20 years. The nephrologist said he’s not too concerned with my kidneys at this point but I am freaking out. He said stay away from too much salt and eat moderately with protein.

One year after VATS
Hi everyone:) I have been following along but had nothing to share for the last year or so since VATS in November, 2018. No longer have burning nerve pain but still pain to touch and tight band around rib cage. Gabapenten and amitriptyline not helping. No one knows why I have this pain. My cardiothoracic

ITP
I have had low platelets for over a year now. This past feb. my count was 31 so I was put on a 4 day stint of steroids and my count went back up to 90. In late sept. my platelet count had dropped to 29 so Mayo put on the steroids again for 4 days and the count at the end of the week had risen to 91.

VATS PROCEDURE ADVICE PLEASE
I am terribly worried about my closest friend and I would value advice from my friends here who have undergone this procedure. My friend has had no chest problems up to this point, not even a chest infection after a virus. In August she suddenly became breathless and it was discovered that she had fluid

Zantac Recall
Thankfully not generic Ranitidine, just the Zantac branded ones made by GLaxo Smith Kline. https://www.dailymail.co.uk/health/article-7550791/Zantac-pulled-shelves-UK.html. and only those on prescription. The ones available over the counter are not affected.

Ranitidine (Zantac) - Doctors told to stop prescribing some types
Although not directly related to thyroid, I suspect a number of members have been prescribed Ranitidine (Zantac). It is for them, and simply to achieve widespread appreciation of this issue that I am posting this: [i]UK doctors are being told to stop prescribing four types of a heartburn medication

New here, post stent x 2...and still working out the kinks..apologies a long story!
As like many here I thought I was fit and healthy with normal blood pressure and cholesterol.... but both my brother and father had heart attacks in their 30's. I made it to 61 before I was taken down by a cream scone!! I couldn't decide if I had indigestion but had mild tingling in my jaw and my heart

Bruising fingers
Hi all! Just had my appt. yesterday with my PCP to see what’s going on. She feels it could be PMR. Had bloods done yesterday so should know more when they get back. Not on any meds other than Zantac for gerd. I’ve noticed lately that my fingers will bruise easily with very little trauma. Sort of like

Constant burning in throat and severe nausea-- miserable!
Hi, I am wondering if anyone has experienced anything similar to this. I’m 20 years old and have suffered from nausea and burning in my throat for several years now. I have seen two GI doctors who have tried a few different PPIs and have tested me for many things, but I continue to get worse. Currently

Heart palpitations after taking Zantac (Ranitidine)
I am not sure if this is the cause of my palpitations or not but not long after i took Zantac for the first time, i started experiencing awful palpitations. I have felt some palpitations/flutter feelings in the past but only one or two then they would stop. These were constant, multiple per minute. I

Trying to stay positive
It's been 8 days since my lobectomy. Spent 5 of those in the hospital and am now home. Pain has changed over the past couple of days, with what feels more like nerve pain and numbness under my right breast. I also have a large water blister from the dressing tape. All I want to do is sleep. And when
