Valtrex

Does anyone take valtrex daily ? Have you had any side effects ? Has it worked for you ? Any thoughts greatly appreciated.

I am unable to tolerate Valtrex or Famir. Just wondering if anyone has experienced this. I haven't tried acyclovir thinking that it would be same... I appreciate your responses, as I have frequent outbreaks.

levels were at around 30. my oncologist hasn't said much about the fluctuations, which have gone up to 50 on occasion. so when i went to see my GP who worked in oncology in another country, told me that i have mild fatty liver, i was shocked as i was obviously unaware of this. i'm currently on daily Valtrex

I only take valtrex as needed for the 3 days to suppress . Am currently in an asthma flare and already dealing with an outbreak and I need to take prednisone which usually gives me an outbreak.

First rash happened a couple of yrs ago and lasted only 3 weeks and was deemed shingles but after 3 weeks worth of valtrex I still had this rash… not shingles!

Hi everyone, I suffer from cold sores and I wanted to know if anybody take L lysine along with the valtrex or acyclovir ? I have been having one outbreak after another , just trying to get this to calm down. Any suggestions greatly appreciated. Thank you !

I have been taking valtrex when ever I get an outbreak. But lately I get rid of one outbreak another comes . Would it help if I switch to acyclovir to see if this works better ? Any thoughts greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I've tried taking Valtrex, but I'm even worse off it, because it's an immunostimulant maybe. Liquorice also doesn't work well, because it raises my blood pressure a lot. Thank you!

The 500 mg valtrex has set my stomach on fire! I have sent a message to my doctor asking whether to hold the valtrex while I get started on Zanubrutinib. Has anyone had a similar experience and if so what did you do?

🤤Doctor said "yes you have shingles" 🥳 Doctor prescribed Valtrex for seven days. Not much help. First 3 days were occasionally painful with nerve pain like someone sticking a hot poker in my back. Never had any itching to speak of.

I will also take the antiviral valtrex daily. One of my concerns which of course I will discuss with medical staff is the fact I basically have only one kidney that works pretty well as the other was damaged severely by a blockage in childhood but still works at approx 10% level.

I’m on Valtrex for shingles, the dr said it wouldn’t be too hard on the liver but it could raise my enzymes. I just wish I felt better :/ I have a lot withdrawals symptoms from going off my Prozac

I have already stopped valtrex and hiprex. I have been hoping to figure out which drug it might be by process of elimination. Any thoughts from you guys would be helpful! Thanks

I am currently on valtrex. I am concerned that by getting the vaccine will cause me not to build up enough immunity to Covid because of the valtrex. Any thoughts will be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

My doctor said I’m not at high risk, but he’ll prescribe me Valtrex as an anti-viral prophylaxis, twice a day, if I want him too. He’s okay either way. Hmm. Well, do I want him to? I dunno! I like to minimize my meds as much as possible. Anyone take it? Worthwhile? Any side effects? Advice?

I’ve been told by the doctor genital herpes, however I’m not convinced as I’m on Zovirax cream and Valtrex tablets at the moment, but they don’t seem to be helping me. They itch but don’t hurt Thank you!

I do, though, get IVIG and I take Bactrim and Valtrex.

Valtrex is a relatively safe med with few if any side effects. I like this idea :) Any good books on tape suggestions for the infusion day?

He prescribed me Valtrex – 1000 mg 3 times a day for 21 days, then 1 per day for a year to help build back my immune system. Does anyone else live with Mollaret’s Meningitis? PatchofHeaven

My P.A. at MDA said this is very common with CLL.They have upped my daily dosage of Valtrex from 400 MGs to 2000. I am also swishing with Calcium Chloride( really painful!) and then something known as "Magic Mouthwash" . After three days , nothing seems to be getting better.
