CT Cardiac waiting time for results
Hi all, I had a CT cardiac angiogram and Cor artery calcium scoring a couple of weeks ago. Can anyone advise on roughly how long it takes for the NHS to get back to you with the results please? Thanks!

calcification outside of the mitral valve?
Hi, just wondering if anyone has significant calcification outside of the mitral valve? I have Calcium score of 0 inside arteries and valves which is great. My cardiologist and colleagues have never seen it before and have ordered an MRI of the heart. Is their anyone else with this? I had rheumatic fever

Hyperparathyroidism and kidney disease
So I’m a stage 3 kidney patient. Recently I was diagnosed with Osteopenia and very high parathyroid hormone levels. Does anyone has high PTH with normal calcium levels in the blood? I’m having the worst symptoms with muscles, joints, heart and no appetite. They usually say PTH rises calcium in the blood

Further to my last post about Levo and joint pain I now need help to understand my blood results.
I had some very helpful advice and info to my last post culminating in it being suggested that my Endo didn’t know what he was doing (and rightly so I think) so I d just requested and received a full blood test. I need help to understand it please. Summary background: Thyroid removed last august - benign

Endo decrease my T3 for over medication?
Hi everyone ❤️ Well I'm not surprised I'm writing this post, on my last thyroid blood work being: T3.. 6.4...range.. (3.10....6.80) TSH..0.05.. range.. (0.30...4.50) The endo decrease my T3 from 40mg to 30mg because I was over medicated, the only reason I agreed with this was because of awful symptoms

Vitamin D
I have just read a book called Vitamin K2 and the Calcium Paradox by Kate Rheaume Bleau. If you are taking Vitamin D or Calcium this book certainly contained important info about whole body need of this little known vitamin. I had been taking 5000iu of vitamin D3 for over a year and not realising the

Husband progressing quickly
Hi! My husband is 68 years old. He was officially diagnosed with PSP IN 2020 , but has been showing symptoms since 2015. He is barely walking now. He falls very frequently. He is on a rollater or he could not get around at all. Everything is so hard for him to do. He has not driven in 3 or 4 years. He

Calcium pills bad for you?
Was searching to learn if I could crush calcium pills to take in water and came across this - which put me on alert! It’s not without at least some research. (?) https://www.aarp.org/health/drugs-supplements/info-07-2012/are-you-taking-too-much-calcium.html

Where to buy affordable Enzalutamide?
Just wondering if its possible to buy this drug anywhere at reasonable prices? I know I can get generic abiraterone from India which can be affordable. Only problem is my dad already has had abiraterone many years ago and I would like to add enzalutamide to radium 223 which has been proven safe and more

TUMS as a good source of calcium? No.
As I understand it, there are different types of calcium, and they are not all equally absorbed. I was told that calcium citrate is best if you can’t get sufficient calcium from your diet. I am easily getting 1200 mg by drinking three 8 oz glasses of skim milk daily.

Allendronic Acid nightmare?
I know many of you will know I take Hydroxy, Prednisolone, blood pressure X 3 Gabapentin tablets. Also that my rheumatologist “discovered” that I had been left on Prednisolone for nearly 2 years with no review. Anyway, last time I went to see him was because he decided that 8 weeks was long enough to

Blood test help
Hi I wonder if you'd mind raising any problems with my bloods please. I recently saw an endocrinologist for my chronic insomnia, which I believe is caused by my low cotisol/low DHEA. I am always struggling with low ferritin, and even more now I've gone off liver and liver pate. I am trying to eat

Additional meds from my GP?
Hi Everyone, First to say I am pleased to have just about survived the first Mothering Sunday since my wife Sue's death. Not only the Mum of our lovely 3 kids, but she 'mothered me' too, and I miss it - (as our youngest kindly commented on my Fbook "You were her biggest challenge Dad!!). Also pleased

My #1 support person & me
I'm new to the form. I have mcrpc. I was on lupron injections for almost 1 year. I didn’t like the pain for 5 days after injection plus insurance only paid half the cost so I got an orchiectomy. I don’t regret that. Several months after the orchiectomy, my PSA level went up so my urologist said it’s
