Valerian Root
Does anyone here find
valerian
root helpful during anxious times or panic attacks? I’ve heard it’s a sleep aid but can be calming. Also does anyone know of any other natural products that are calming but aren’t sedating so I can take it before work?

Natural Supplements
Has anyone ever found any natural Supplements like Kava,
Valerian
Root or CBD to be successful in subsiding your anxiety. I am interested in it but don’t know where to start. Any advice or experiences are greatly appreciated as I start a new job and college very soon and I’m nervous. (:

My Thiamine journey
Have tried various herbal sedatives such as
Valerian
. Looking like we all are to address the root cause . Not just relieve the symptoms. Have needed to dust off my rusty neuroscience training to research this Parkinson’s syndrome.

Supplements
I take two magnesium citrates, a 5-HTP,
valerian
roots, and 4 anti-stress anxiety pills from whole foods (two in morning, two at night). Anybody know if this is bad at all? Cause sometimes during moments of high stress I will take another anti-stress pill.

Valerian root for anxiety related IBS?
Hello all, someone mentioned that taking
Valerian
root regularly might help for anxiety-induced IBS. I've noticed that sometimes stress levels and general worry affect my IBS and I am considering giving it a go. Has anyone tried to take
Valerian
root for IBS?

Can someone please tell me if I need to have my adrenal cortisol levels checked?! or could this be my kidneys?
I have been using melatonin,
valerian
and Ibuprofen PM to sleep at night, but I know the Ibuprofen PM is not good for my kidneys. I still wake up through the night. My insurance refuses to pay for Ambien (sleep med) because it is a controlled substance in the US.

CBD oil
Melatonin,
valerian
, 5htp, antihistamines and even sleeping tablets. I can’t think what else could be causing this low. I shall stop it tonight and see how I am over the next couple of days.

Valerian Tea
Has anyone tried this for anxiety, which for me shows itself predominantly as nausea, together with cramping if I have too much milk as well as acid reflux with peppermint tea. A friend has kindly sent me some, but I am too scared to try it as herbal teas cause cramps and having looked up the side effects

Switched to Levo at Night - Insomnia!
I could barely get through a day and practically mainlined
valerian
tablets to try to calm down. I could not carry on like that so I stopped and switched back to 25 Levo. So far no return of the depression symptom, which is nice. But it doesn't give me much energy.

How long off supplements to saliva cortisol test?
Valerian
, passionflower, lemon Balm. I don't want to waste a test but at the same time, I will be starting progesterone soon and I know that can definitely skew a test.

Menopause Coincided with RLS
Valerian
root can work if iRLS is not severe. Also I take benedryl and melatonin for sleepinrss. Again, they help but don’t cure. Oddly, eating meat seems to help or maybe its coincidental. Everytime I think I have it figured out it changes. Super frustrating!

To Jess3648 Valerian
To Jess3648- I really can't comment to much about
valerian
. I was taking Calm Legs for my RLS and it was in the tablet. I also have sleep apnea and didn't want to take to much of it cause I didn't know what kind of reaction I was going to have to it.

Valerian root!
I checked to see if any of my medications interacted with
Valerian
root before I took it and nothing clashed. But I just want to tell you, it makes you really dream, so be careful. Hugs x
