New medication for boosting immunity against covid19
Hello everyone from snowy NY. My spouse received his first kidney transplant 11/2018 and I just told him about this news. Apparently, there is a new IV infusion for people who are very immunocompromised to help improve their health from getting covid19, since the vaccinations were not working as hoped

Travel Vaccinations
Hi. I have already emailed my Rheumatology Team but thought I would also ask for others experiences. I am considering travelling to countries which recommend vaccinations for things like Polio, Diphtheria, Hep A and B, Cholera, Tetanus etc. Now, I have had some of these in the past but longer than 10

A Shingrix thank you
Hi, I just wanted to thank so many of you who have spoken of your side effects with the second Shingrix, yet being worth it. It was when I recently read here that being only half vaccinated was still being open to Shingles that spurred me into getting the second one today, after 2 1/2 years. After

Travel vaccinations
I’m travelling to Bali in April and been recommended to have Typhoid, Tetanus and Hepatitis A boosters. Has anyone experienced any issues following these vaccinations please? Currently on 0.5mg Pred and no intention of reducing further until after the holiday!

Measles
With info about measles cases increases I wondered if anyone had experience of being vaccinated against measles since RA diagnosis. I thought I was vaccinated as a child (pre MMR vaccine) but GP doesn't have a record of it.Thanks in advance for any info

Oncology appointment - due diligence
Recently had my long awaited oncology appointment with an internist who also works in oncology. My CLL was discovered early, during routine bloodwork. Just curious if the doc did full due diligence, compared to other’s experiences. I do not have any symptoms atm. He spent some time reviewing CLL

I’m beginning to see a correlation between the flu
vaccination
and a flare up. I try to think that each day is a new day and get on with life but I hate prednisolone and the various ways in which it bites you!

COVID-19 immune cell vaccine eases SLE symptoms in girl: Report
A day after the
vaccination
, she experienced gradual pain reductions and motor function improvements. A week later, she could move independently and walk without any aids. Laboratory findings supported this clinical improvement, with normalization of blood parameters.

One year stem cell transplant anniversary
This week a year ago I received my donor's stem cells. For those of you not following my posts, it was hard going in the early months but by late June things were looking a lot better both mentally and physically and my hair started its return.. My platelets were one of the slowest things to recover

Having escaped Covid over the last few years, I did a test yesterday as I felt fluey and coldy. It was positive. I have had seven vaccinations! Couldn't believe it! Was convinced it was a false positive. Anyway, went to the emergency oncology service, was retested and confirmed I had Covid and Rhinovirus

Adult whooping cough - second time!
Hello. Just wondering if anyone has any experience of the unfortunate luck of having caught whooping cough twice.Currently awaiting blood test results to confirm this, however I had it back in 2015 (confirmed with a blood test then also) and I was extremely ill for nine months. My symptoms are less severe

Considerations for your fall Covid-19 vaccineTiming, mixing, and more. Dr. Katelyn Jetelina, M.P.H. Ph.D.-Your Local Epidemiologist
How long after infection/
vaccination
should I wait? This is tricky. We have frustratingly scarce scientific guidance on timing. What we do have tells us this: Minimum wait: 2-3 months. A Covid-19 vaccine doesn’t add much benefit within 2-3 months of infection.

covid vaccine and prostate cancer
I was surprised that the post about the covid vaccine was abruptly terminated as if the subject was closed and the answer is settled. That is not true in my opinion. This is a brand new technology that was only tested for about a year. No definitive study has been done about the long term impact (if
