PBC DVD for CDN Lady
After she passed, I still put off starting
URSO
since I didn't feel to bad. Within a few months I was in a terrible state and smartened up. I really noticed a remarkable difference with absolutely no side effects. If you've been prescribed
URSO
, start it right away!

scared the urso will make me gain weight
I don't always take my
urso
because I feel the side effect of weight gain is too scary for me. I had a gastric sleeve done 2 years ago and lost 80 lbs. Im terrified I will gain it back.

New here
I am on
Urso
which reduced counts from 690 to 297 in 3 mths, but when I went back for appt 3 mths later #s were up to 308 (pooh). So now I have bloodwork monthly for 3 mths and then back to Gastro guy - unless it starts to rise - which means a biopsy and possible steroids.

Anyone been diagnosed with hypothyroidism since they've had PBC?
I was having a 6 month break off
URSO
to see if it affected my ALT and ALP as they were fairly borderline go starting it in the first place. They have worsened a bit and I'm waiting for my consultant appointment now. I assume this TSH means I have an under active thyroid.

Tired...
Hello, I was diagnosed 4 years ago with PBC, have AIH also so I'm on Prednisone along with
Urso
BID. The steroid wipes out my immune system and I'm a pediatric nurse so unfortunately I'm sick all the time. Pneumonia 2x last winter, strep 3x so far this year.

I zonk out after eating
I have had PBC for 4 years now and I have been on
Urso
and feeling fine. Living a normal life and still working full time. Recently tho every time I have eaten my evening meal I completely zonk out... It's as if I have been drugged... There is no way I can fight it.

Getting my head round this PBC
Put on
urso
I take 2 250mg tabs one in morning and one in the evening. Felt a bit rough at 1st but appear to be getting used to it all. However I do have to watch what I eat. I'm reasonably healthy most of the time. But I do have a sweet tooth.

Urso prices skyrocketing in US
I was diagnosed with PBC in 2014 and have been relatively lucky so far to deal well with the
URSO
and also deal well prices on the drug. The last two years my deductible on my insurance was met due to lots of medical issues and tests, so my drugs have been pretty cheap.

alps and pbc
Put on
Urso
last year, three time a day 750 mg (which may be too little for my weight). My recent ALP has come back at 159,(ALP has stayed the same for the past two years) bilirubin 9 and albumin 39. Can anyone let me know if these readings seem ok? Thanks

Urso Questions
Considering the good results with
Urso
, Is there any possibility that I DON'T have PBC? I understand that
Urso
can be used for gallstones (which I have) but I read that it might take at least 6 months for gallstones to be dissolved using
Urso
. 4.

PBC and Hepatitis
My liver function tests have always been high even on
Urso
although they had settled. the consultant said that previous two blood tests shown a dramatic increase that suggests now I also have hepatitis, he took more blood and said if still so high then I will be put on steroids for a bit..

New Urso RX
Just picked up RX to start Urdo and was shocked at the # of pills for a one month supply, 270. 3 pills, 3 times a day, forever. I have PBC but no cirrhosis. Is this the normal RX?

Urso and hair loss
Hi Is there anyone out there that can tell me if they are taking
urso
and it is having NO effect on their hair? I'm reading stories about hair thinning and was hoping to hear if anyone's hair has not been affected?

Emlarged spleen
For a few days I feel unusually tired despite being on
Urso
for over a year. Is my spleen an other organ I have to worry about beside my liver.
