Winning the RLS war one battle (or food) at a time:
Something pretty incredible has happened to me. I may be jumping the gun but I'm hopeful that it's not just a circumstantial or biological coincidence. I’m 65 years old and since adolescence I've had severe RLS every night of my life. Incredibly, for about a month now my symptoms have been steadily subsiding

Hi, I've been on warfarin for over a year and a half, I had a embolism to my lung, my inr is always to high or to low, my dr will not take me off until I'm stable,I don't like a lot of the foods with vitamin k, so I see no end to this, has anybody had a similar problem

DVT's and Warfarin
I'm 77 and have had 3 DVT's. first in 1965 after 3rd childbirth. I was one of the first 100 women to take birth control pill (100 mg of Enovid) in my city. I received it from Planned Parenthood and had regular one month checkups. I stopped two years later to have third child. I had the first DVT

Supplements while Hypo and Pregnant?
Happy Sunday everyone, Does anyone know what supplements are still safe to take while pregnant and what if any I should add? I am currently taking 5,00IU of Vit D and 400 Methl Folate - I was told to take 500 folic acid due to being 'obese' (on the bmi index) and that I am at a higher risk for gestational

Bleeding
Though my numbers as recently reported are good I've noticed recently that even the slightest scrape bleeds like mad. I also have instances of under skin bleeding ( it's got some fancy name). Just read online that Vitamin K will or might help with clotting. By the way my platelet count is 113x Any

Dose increase and no effects yet - how long until I notice improvement?
Hi all, I have been posting here beginning of Jan, after I had been underdosed (TSH level end of december was at 5,61). I have been steadily increasing since End of December, first by 25 LT, to 125 LT. I found a new very capable doctor, a thyroid expert who knows all the facets and doesn't just use

Hi all, I wanted to start by saying thank you to all those who have already given me advice. If it wasn't for the information on this forum I am not sure I would have pushed so much to get a diagnosis. After changing GP's, I went in last week with by Blue Horizon results and a speech prepared about

Has anyone tried Vitamin K regimen for their fatigue, pain and aches?
The NHS says Vitamin K has several important functions, for example blood clotting, which helps wounds heal properly. There's some evidence that vitamin K is also needed to help keep bones healthy.

PBJ and homemade navy bean soup are mine, what are yours?
When I am trying to keep my vit k values low my go tos' are peanut butter and jam/preserves sandwiches, homemade navy bean soup with ham, skim milk and nonfat yogurt. What do others go to? I also enjoy ambrosia salad (more of a dessert)!
