Update 3 on appointment
Glad to see my Haematologist is being proactive. I wonder if it is being firm in mentioning MPN Specialist and learning so much from everyone here before my appointment. I felt armed with some knowledge. I have learned so much from you. She has emailed me again today to say she has emailed a colleague

Hi New to this but thought I would say hi and thank you to MPN voice for all that they are doing 😊. I was diagnosed with MF in 2007 aged 43 following a routine blood test which revealed high platelets and then followed by a bmt which revealed scarring on the bone marrow . Treated initially with hydroxycarbamide

Having a tooth out
I am going to have a tooth extraction the dentist was worried that I am still on blood thinners to help with my stent fitted in April 2021 ( coming off these tablets which I take twice a day end of this month) The tooth is a large tooth at the back as I said the dentist was worried about the bleeding

Baby aspirin
Hello I was just wondering if anyone else was put on baby aspirin by their doctor since they got their positive. How long are you supposed to take it ? My doctor told me the 8th of March to take it for a month it said on the prescription. However when I saw him for the scan he didn’t mention if I stop

Help sleeping with RLS
I take one baby aspirin as needed to settle down RLS. It slowly… within 30 minutes or so… unwinds my springs and I fall into a tranquil restful sleep.

Advice?
Tmi and I’m sorry I am 28! I am seeing my primary next month for my yearly check up. During pregnancy I had hemorrhoids which were horrible. When I popped there was blood IN the stool. I explained to my obgyn and he told me to stop my baby aspirin (81 mg) that was 36 weeks. I did. And told me to follow

Changing medication
Hi cardiologist recommended I change amlodipine to diltiazem re continuing chest pain (at rest too) and pressure on chest/sternum, and aspirin to clopidogrel re asthma as was finding breathing out difficult. When you change meds should you change one at a time so you can see impact of each more clearly

Foods to avoid after heart attack and stent fitted
Hi there. Has anyone had any advice from the cardiac team about any foods to avoid? I'm on aspirin, clopidogrel, beta blockers, BP tablets and statins. I know to avoid grapefruit juice, and recently found out about avoiding cranberry juice as well. I've also read conflicting information about avoiding

Hello, new to the forum
Hi everyone, new member here. I've been reading a lot of posts on the forums, and it's good to know I'm not the only one having problems with medication after a heart attack and stent fitted. I've been prescribed aspirin, clopidogrel, beta blockers, blood pressure tablets and statins, and to be honest

Hi, I've just taken two Lateral flow tests and both positive and recorded on the .gov site. I'm not sure on the latest guidance. Should I do anything else, I have PV and taking Hydroxyreau and Aspirin? I have symptoms, breathing not normal, cold and achy, bit of a cough that keeps coming and going

Re: raised White cell count
Hi guys. I’m 45 years old and I’ve been diagnosed with ET for more than a year now. JAK 2 positive V617F. No marrow done since my Haematologist is very certain about the diagnosis. PBF has always been consistent with stable ET. Most recent platelet count was 625. Hemoglobin 15.6. I’m currently taking

Pegasys and anxiety
Hi all, it's been a while since I've posted here last time. I had a difficult time, it probably all started with my missed miscarriage in 9th week of pregnancy last November. Doctors don't know if it was due to my PV or something else. Since then, my mental state has started to deteriorate. I have been
