It finally got me!
After two years without a cough or cold, I had flu like symptoms at the weekend and tested positive for CV this week. I'm on day five and things are getting easier and no problems with ectopics or AF.

PCR test and pneumonia recovery
Randomly got a PCR test in the mail today, no letter with it. Seems a bit weird, is it legit? I should've gotten a priority PCR test a few months ago as I'm immunocompromised, but I didn't. Is this it? Also, on average how long does it take for you guys to recover from pneumonia? I had it in both lungs

I’m new around here
Hi I’m new here so thought I would say hi 😄. I’m looking to gain insight into lung conditions as I’ve been left with damage after COVID pneumonia in July 2021.

Pneumonia With ET
Hi all, hope you are all doing well. Last week I had the most horrendous chest pains, but didn't feel cardiac related so I ignored it, then this Monday, I was finding it hard to breath, I phoned 111 and they booked me in to A&E. They did some X-Rays & tests and said I had Pneumonia. They gave me IV

NIGHT SWEATS, LUNG INFECTION, AND IMMUNE SYSTEM
I realize there are multiple issues here, but I was wanting some input. Feb 4 I tested positive and had been sick with sore throat and bad head cold for three days. Got the Monoclonal Infusion on the 5th, and over three weeks had decreasing symptoms until totally gone. I tested Negative twelve days

Delaying cognitive decline
I had a BT partially removed in 2009 followed by 30 rounds of RT in 2010. Tumour has been stable since but I have experienced side effects (fatigue, tinnitus, confusion, cognitive decline, etc). Today I had a radio oncologist review and I explained this. He told me that because of dose of the radiation

I love experiments!
Hi all! Greeting from Chicago. I'm a 46 yo bronc patient. My loving and sharing children have given me a garden variety cold. I know the cold will end up going to my lungs and give me an exacerbation that will require antibiotics. If I lived in the UK, I would have a rescue pack to use. In the US,

PMR after Flu Vaccination
I'm new here, just joining this week, I'm 70 years old. I developed PMR in 2020 after my first FLU vaccination in 44 years, I had the Swine FLU vaccination in 1976 which also made me very sick. Has anyone else experienced this? In 1976 very few virus strains, in 2020 multiple virus strains in the vaccination

Icy feeling in chest
Hi Everyone, I previously posted here when I was first given inhalers in 2020 to manage after-effects of COVID/pneumonia. I was on Flutiform 250mg x2 twice a day. They seemed to help a lot and eventually I stopped taking them just before Christmas. Recently I have noticed that when it is cold outside

Sunday Lunch/Dinner: Chickpea Broccoli Coconut Rice 🥦🧅🥥🌰🌱😋❤️
Hello everyone, hope you have a peaceful Sunday and a great week ahead with many wonderful possibilities! 🤗 Today I made a mixture of veggies in wok served over a bed of basmati rice cooked in coconut milk. It takes less than 30 mins to prepare and it’s delicious, bursting with flavors.😋👍 Recipe:

Hope everyone is well
Hi all Hope you are all keeping safe and well, sorry I haven't been on for a long time. Mum, sister and I all had bronchitis but mum's turned to Pneumonia and we almost lost her. On a brighter note I thought that I would cheer everyone up and introduce you to my super cute puppy, Blossom Lucy.

So cold all the time
Does anyone else with Hashimotos/ Hypothyroidism here really struggle with the cold. I'm spending hours a day wrapped in a blanket, and that is over the top of several layers/thick jumper, and I am still cold! I hate it so much. I am so hopeful that Spring is on the way, I feel so much better with the

Daffodils
I was just messing around seeing if I could possibly post a photo - and I did. A great technological leap for me. This picture was taken last year, but the daffs look lovely this year too. It's very cold outside, too cold to be snapping. xxx

This is the third cough/ virus/ infection since November and they have knocked me for 6. Any advice?
Hi there. I am new to the site and consider myself to be healthy, but unlucky when it comes to illness. I was asthmatic as a child, spending time in hospital when I was very young, which was horrid. Anyway, over time asthma seemed to disappear and I went without use or need of an inhaler from my 20s

I was diagnosed with moderate copd on the basis of a breathing test last summer. X-ray at the time didn't show anything. Neither my GP nor the respirologist I had one appt with said I need a CT scan done. (GP is worried about radiation exposure) How do you know exactly what you have if you dont have
