Hey everyone...don't know if anyone has had this experience. I'm about 12 months into my PCa battle...been on Firmagon for most of it (including now). Started on Zytiga last year but had to stop due to elevated liver enzymes, so I switched to Casodex about two months ago, but PSA numbers started to

Am I headed for Radiation
hello all. Wishing the best to everyone. Just a quick question that I think I know the answer to. After RP in June 2023 pathology was Gleason 4~3 with SVI, clear margins, lymph node dissection negative, prostate 30% involved. First PSA test all at quest was an ultra sensitive post prostatectomy test

Ultra sensitive psa
As my MO basically doesn't want to engage in conversation during my 5 min appointments as he feels it's an insult to his managing my case I was wondering after 7 rounds of docetaxil why he decided to do an Ultra sensitive PSA instead of just a good o PSA. I've not reached an undetectable number as of

Happy anniversary?
It was exactly 1 year ago that I got my first elevated PSA test that started my prostate cancer experience (I don’t like to say “Journey”). Details in my comic. (http://burnscomic.com) After that, I had another PSA test (still elevated a month later), a pelvic MRI (showing pi-rads 5 areas), then a

Update for alperk
PET Scan showed left hip radiated lesions SUV dropped from 30.2 to 3.5, 20.4 to 2.8, 7.5 to 2.5. Nothing in head, neck, organs. Now the bad news: Multiple new lesions in left hip with increased PET intensity from SUV 2.6 to 33.6 and left lower pelvic lymph node with SUV 16.1. PSA following 4/4/24 radiation

Similar experiences and outcomes when cancer ‘wakes up’ about a year out from Docetaxel? PSA slow rise, now 1.9
Hey, Looking for hope…aren’t we all? Husband had good results from Docetaxel, obliterating many bone mets and lowering PSA. Had CT/bone scan a couple months ago, showing suspicious areas. Dr. Ordered PSMA PET scans. Went over results with Dr. George today. He took my husband off Nubeqa due to

palliative radiation treatment questions
In my prior (first) post, I shared about my 82 year old father’s condition. Thanks for all the helpful and thoughtful responses from this community. He has gone off Goserelin (ADT) injection and now just on bicalutamide pills. As his testosterone seems to have returned, he’s now having more energy

Xtandi and Intermittent
I started Xtandi 2 months ago and got PSA undetectable. <.001. Now, my doctor suggest me to reduce from 4 tablets per say to 3 tablets per day. A month ago, I say "no", reasoning that reduction of the amount may create an early resistance to Xtandi. But he is persistent. He said no necessarily.

Dad’s 6 weekly psa shows a little rise compared to the one at 3 weeks - grateful for any thoughts.
Dad , 83 , was diagnosed in May with PSA 18 and bone mets as per PSMA scan. Initially the plan was to do lupron and he was started on bicalutamide 100 mg daily , which he took for 3 weeks uptil 7th June. But then we decided to go with relugolix and not lupron and the bicalutamide was stopped.

Is pluvicto helping?
I started pluvicto on Jan 24, 2024. I’m on zoladex quarterly as well. I currently feel good compared to when i began pluvicto. My labwork are all normal, no abnormalities. My last scans show reduced mets in lymph nodes but still in bones and no progression. Would you say things are looking good with

My PCa history
After rising PSA from 6.92 in March 2012 to 9.98 in April 2013 Uro performed Prostate Biopsy in April 2013. 12 samples were taken: worst sample 4+3 (30% involvement) and four samples 3+4 (5% involvement). Scheduled for robotic prostatectomy, but before it Uro gave me four shots of Fermagon. Uro

Does taking chemo upfront reduce chances of the cancer morphing into more aggressive variants in the future ?
My PSA at diagnosis was relatively low at 21 and scans showed multiple bone mets. My oncologist said that puts me at a greater risk of the cancer morphing Into a more aggressive one in the future compared to someone who had come with a psa of 400-500. Is this correct ? Would doing chemotherapy

4 month ADT holiday
I’ve been given 4 months ADT holiday with no treatment Then more blood tests to see how things are going. I was finding it hard to concentrate when reading as I was so tired. I’m already feeling more awake after 2 days of stopping Abiraterone and my balance seems to be improving. Doing some gym work

PSA rising after salvage RT. What next?
My PSA is low but on the rise. <.006 in January and .042 now. I'm not on ADT. See bio for history. I hate to stand on the sidelines and watch it rise. Is there something I can do, or do I have to wait until PSA rises then have a scan? What is SOC? Your comments are appreciated.
