4 month ADT holiday

I’ve been given 4 months ADT holiday with no treatment Then more blood tests to see how things are going. I was finding it hard to concentrate when reading as I was so tired. I’m already feeling more awake after 2 days of stopping Abiraterone and my balance seems to be improving. Doing some gym work and plenty of cycling. It will take a few months before testosterone kicks in. It took Abiraterone to get the psa to undetectable levels. Thanks for all comments

Medical professionals are still in the ON - OFF control era. Proportional control has still not been discovered. You just don't stop the treatment. Lower dosage to the minimum effective one.

Been stage 4 for the last 5 years, cancer restricted to 3 small tumors in lymph nodes, so far. I would object to a suggestion of a meds holiday………..that’s just me. I’ve had prostate removed 9 years ago, 40 rounds of radiation 5 years ago, and 6 rounds of docetaxel chemo therapy, which concluded 3 weeks ago.

I’m glad to hear you’re getting a break from ADT, I sure hope I get that option in the future. Let me know how it goes. I’m hoping it works out great for you.
