T3 starting dose too high?
Hi all, looking for some advice. Have had hashi's for 3 years and my GP has had me undermedicated for all of that time (25mg Levo rising to 50mg after about 1. years and only 7 weeks ago he allowed me to increase to 75mg at weekends and 50mg during the week). My results in February were: FT4: 14.6

Feeling flat
Hi everyone, just feeling so flat and low. Like a functioning shell, if that makes sense? I’m menopausal too (post) so probably isn’t helping. Hi I was formally diagnosed with Graves’ disease in May 23 . help with brands
Hi Am new to the forum. Was diagnosed in February with hypothyroidism level TSH 12. Started on Levo 50 mg and it has come down to 5.1 and recently 4.7. GP has now put me up to 75 mg but collected today and they have given me totally different brands. Was taking mercury before and felt ok (ish) now

Pain under right rib following increased levothyroxine dose
I started levothyroxine 3 months ago at 50mg following a slightly high TSH count resulting in an ultrasound which found a benign thyroid nodule. My TSH was good for the first following up, but raised above the threshold in my last blood test. My last test also showed high cholesterol. So, I had my levo

Problem with GP
I am at the end of my rope. My GP has put me down to 25mcg of levothyroxine every other day due to a constantly suppressed TSH. I am very unwell and due to have cataract surgery on the 14th. I am still taking 25mcg every day as I had extra tablets. The GP has said my results are normal (already posted

High haemoglobin mystery - any connection with my T3?
I am about to have an operation which incidentally I am dreading. I have a Giant intermuscular lipoma growing inside a muscle in my right arm above my elbow and very close to the radial nerve. I have been told that there is a 10% chance that they may hit the radial nerve when trying to cut it out which

Consultant referral and other stuff
Recently had my regular 3 month TSH test and it seems that im still just within the range. Yet again, seen another different doctor at the surgery as i can never get to see the same one. This doctor, even though ive been on 75mcg Levo for 6 months with my symptoms holding strong or becoming worse, told

Test Variation
Hi all, Just a quick question. When you have a private test, why do the results vary so much from the GP tests? My TSH tests when done privately come back in the 6 and 7s but when I go to GP and they run them it comes back in the low 5s and therefore ‘normal’. I feel like I’m just wasting money on

hi everyone I don't know how much people are able to help me without test results but its worth a shot anyway. I've been taking cynoplus for a few years and have always felt well. This is an update to all the kind folks who were so concerned for me trying to stop medication. Just letting you know I made it six weeks without levo but my tsh shot up to 9.1 in a range of 0.36 to 3.74. Needless to say I am back on meds starting over with 25 and moving to 37.5 in another day. My 3

Reducing thyroxine from 100 mcg to 75 mcg
I posted a few days ago about my doctor reducing my thyroxine from 100 mcg to 75 mcg. I managed to speak to another doctor who said to take 100, 100, 75 for a month and then 100, 75, 100 etc for a month and then test. Does this sound ok? Not sure what dose they’ll know to put me on though even if the

Should I be worried about suppressed TSH
I am extremely well and all my bloods seem within normal range to me (but not the GP)! I am 61 years old and was diagnosed with Hashimotos Thyroditis and Chronic Fatigue in 2004. My only health issue is very erratic sleep (one night 8 and a half hours, the next 4) which I handle by resting in the afternoon

TRAB (TSH Receptor Antibodies)
Does anyone know where the cheapest private blood test for TSH Receptor Antibodies can be found? Most tests I see include TPO and TgAB but not TRAb or TSI Ab. Specifically looking for this test for regular monitoring after discussion with an endocrinologist.

Possible to be both Hyperthyroid & Hypothyroid?
Hi guys, So have just been to my GP and as advised on my last post I requested to increase my Levothyroxine by 12.5mg to see if I'd feel any better. My GP said that as my TSH is 1.44 I'm in the sweet spot and an increase isn't required. She then went on to inform my that I had been Hyperthyroid initially

High cholesterol and high TSH with mixed connective tissue disease
Hi. I've been diagnosed with Mixed Connective Tissue Disease. Has anyone else experienced cholesterol going up in tandem with TSH? I also have high blood pressure (150/90). When I questioned an NHS endo about the relationship between the high cholesterol and MCTD, he dismissed it completely.
