Hi I was formally diagnosed with Graves’ disease in May 23 . In reality I’d probably had it a while as I’d been in denial about thyroid eye symptoms for a few months but it was the increasing intolerance to hot weather that drove me to the GP. At diagnosis my T4 was around 60, T3 around 25 and I was positive for graves antibodies ( I never knew the exact result of this test)
Fast forward a year on carbimazole and my dose has been down to 5mg/day since beginning Dec 23. My latest June result are T4 13.3pmol/L, TSH 0.66mU/L and TSI 0.81IU/L (range <0.55IU/L.
Obviously I’m still positive for antibodies but is that an excessively high TSI result?
Also, although I feel pretty well and normal right now I wonder if I might be beginning to go a bit hypothyroid as my voice is sounding slightly gravelly lately and also I felt quite wiped out for the rest of the day after a long 10000 step walk yesterday.
Do you think a reduction in dose might help me feel even better at all?

As for my eyes, the eye that developed proptosis has improved greatly and is pretty normal now. However I have a pre-existing ptosis in the other eye which makes me look a little asymmetrical still at the moment. I feel even the ptosis eye has improved of late so I’m going to wait a while longer to see if I get any more improvement before deciding if I want to get any eyelid surgery on the ptosis eye. Thanks for asking
