Am I overmedicated? T3 mono (under endo)
I am on mono t3 (as I cannot get on with T4 only or even T4 in combo with T3). My latest blood results from my doc with the reference ranges are: TSH < 0.02 [0.38 - 5.33] Free T4: <3.3 pmo/l [7.9 - 14.4] Free T3: 7.1 pmol/l [3.8 - 6.0] It makes sense my TSH is suppressed due to it not being needed

This article is potentially dangerous
This article in The Lancet looks at "healthy" levels of TSH (NB not on treatment). It proposes a narrower range expression for health for both FT4 and TSH. But it is devising these recommendations from a statistical viewpoint. Low TSH is related to greater chance of cardiac problems. And high FT4 is

Is suppressed TSH more likely with secondary hypothyroidism?
Calling all the members who have Central hypothyroidism - is your TSH suppressed? I may have Central hypothyroidism but it’s not diagnosed. An appointment has been made for me to see a GP on Thursday after I wrote a letter complaining that my dose of Levo has been reduced (by text - no consultation)

getting hot ( Graves disease)
I was diagnosed with Graves disease just in June . I read that getting hot/clammy is a symptom. When I first started to become ill - hot was not on the list - cold was! I had lost weight rapidly and I was already skinny - so I became underweight. My weight is gradually going back to normal

Should I accept dose reduction?
My TSH dropped from 4.98 on diagnosis to below 1 as soon as I started Levo in 2020. For the past two years it’s been 0.01-0.03. It dropped that low when I went up to 100mcg in 2021. I accepted I was over medicated from advice here ( FT4 24.9, FT3 6.5) and because I was losing weight and I reduced

8 week bloodtest
Hi all, I've been on a reduced levothyroxine dose of 125mcg for the last 8 weeks and i stopped taking the iron tablets as my stomach was too painful, so for the past 7 weeks i've been using an iron patch. My dr agreed to retest my iron as i didn't want to be wasting my time and money if the patches

Timing of Blood test
Hi all, I had my thyroid levels checked recently after being on my current increased dose of levothyroxine 125mcg for 8 weeks. I was previously on 100mcg, which was my starting dose as I've recently been diagnosed as having hypothyroidism. I read on this forum that I should take my last dose of levothyroxine
