A heads up regards being in hospital and on thyroid medication
Hi all, I was in hospital recently (came down with flu, pneumonia and sepsis and was kept in a coma for about a month). I was in an Intensive Care Unit and as I was coming out of the coma, I started asking them about my thyroid medication. . The nurses were vague about the details so eventually I asked

Has anyone with endometriosis (particularly rectrovaginal) been fully cured after surgery?
Hi everyone, this is my first post on here - great to find a community who can finally understand the issues I am going through. I have had pelvic pain ever since I got my period 25 years ago, and have been misdiagnosed with so many different things, but finally had a diagnosis of rectovaginal endometriosis

unexplained postmenopausal bleeding on HRT
Hello, I suffered premature ovarian failure in my late 30s and have been on HRT for many years - now early 50s. Recently I changed HRT to estrogel-pro and have had episodes of bleeding. TVUS revealed nothing. GP changed me again to Angeliq but had another episode of bleeding; so GP told me to stop the

Does Anyone Feel?
I am wondering if its possible to feel as well on thyroid replacement as I did pre hypothyroid. Just for background looking back 4 years ago I felt really fit and healthy, had plenty of energy, was going to the gym. Then the pandemic hit and my gym closed down and went bust. In June 2020 I finally started

Comments On Blood Test Results Please
I don't post very often but I read a lot on here, and after having a Blue Horizon full thyroid blood test, I would be interested in the thoughts of anyone on what came out of it. I had radioactive iodine some years ago and am on levothyroxine (100mg). My results from the GP always come back as 'normal

Levothyroxine and Menopause
Hi all, I had thyroid cancer many years ago and had a thyroidectomy. I’ve been on levothyroxine for 21 years. I’m in my early 50’s and menopausal. I’ve started HRT which still needs to adjusted BUT the Endocrinologist is lowering my levothyroxine. I exercise regularly and have a very physical job

Am I doing the right thing?
Your advice in the past has been invaluable and I’m now wondering if I’ve done the right thing. I will try to be as brief as possible. In December last year I had a hip replacement and at the time was on 1 mg of pred which I stayed on, hoping to come down when things had settled down. In February my

Help! I thought I had a handle on the AFIB, but not so much now. I have been using bisprolol, I take 2.5mg daily, but the cariologist said I could take up to 4 of them to control an episode. that has worked until last week. so many things going on, I had a hip replacement 10 days ago, all went well,

Best HRT for...
I have just gone through actual menopause and have had a number of symptoms creep into my life steadily over the past 10 odd years. To help manage them and minimise risk of CVD, Type 2 diabetes, osteoporosis, etc., I am going to embrace HRT and, fingers crossed, get a bit of 'me' back.I know there are
