Post surgery pain
I previously posted a question about post surgical pain and Belbuca (buccal Buprenorphine,). I had hip replacement one week ago. The pain is excruciating. I conferred with my surgeon prior to the surgery because I was afraid of this. He told me not to worry. Ha! I am taking Oxycodone every 6 hours

Hip surgery
I'm due to have a hip replacement but nervous because I have paroxysmal A Fib. I' m on Edoxaban and have bisoprolol as a P I P, told to take after a few hours if it didn't resolve, but haven't had to take it . Would welcome some reassurance 😊

I have a constant cough since I contacted COVID in 2023, resulting in Haemophilus influenzae! I have been prescribed 6 different antibiotics and Doxycycline for past three months but still showing in sputum! I am due for knee replacement with spinal block soon do you think this will be possible?

Good news/bad news
hi all. The nurse rang last week to say that my liver results had improved somewhat but were still outside normal range. Because I have such active disease she didn’t want to leave me with no meds at all, so we decided to restart the leflunomide and see how the blood results go in two week, then make

I’m back😁. Used to be Dtech.
Been a while since I was last on here. I didn’t go on a lot unless I could help with anything. So jock update. I’m now happily retired. Dog walking and playing golf. Going on occasional holidays. Had a week in Seville to celebrate my 70th birthday. January I had a bad hip. Thought it was just a strain

hi, I’ve posted here a couple times already. FibroScan of 75kpa. Current meld score 14. All components of meld score are within normal range except bilirubin which is 3.8. Struggling coming off ropinerole
First thank you for all the replies to my earlier posts, before my second hip replacement. 4 weeks post surgery I am decreasing ropinerole slowly, just dropped from 0.75mg to 0.5mg after 2 weeks on 0.75mg. But struggling with symptoms starting early afternoon and getting worse as the evening progressed

Pulmonary Regurgitation - Breathlessness?
Hi all, I had a pulmonary valve replacement when I was 21 in 2013. I am 32 now, as the years have passed, the valve has started to leak. I have been told the leak is now severe. I am unsure if I am experiencing symptoms as I have major health anxiety (I bet I'm not the only one!), so I can never really

getting reading for HIP replacement #2
After the right in 2022, now it's time for the left. I'm not in horrible pain but I want to get it done so that I regain more ability to be active and workout, keep muscle mass (I'm 58), and continue to keep MS at bay. Just got the green light from the neuro. Ocrevus is delayed for 2 months to avoid

Fatigue
My challenge is that around the same time i was diagnosed with Pmr i was experiencing mobility issues which resulted in a hip replacement followed by a year later by a knee replacement on the opposite leg which I am now 6 month post op . I am not sure if my fatigue on effort is normal after the joint

Is It worth choosing a Doctor?
My neighbour has given me the name and contact information for a doctor he said is the best in my area for knee replacement surgery and said once I get a date for my surgery I can request that it is done by this doctor. I have looked at reviews and references online and they are indeed glowing, however

Shoe and shoe insoles
Hi all I'm hoping that I can get some suggestions about footwear or shock absorbing insoles. I have a bad knee (waiting for knee replacement op) and now have lower back pain. I'm going away soon and expect to walk lot more than I do at home. Any advice appreciated.

Should I defer MRI
Hi. I have hip replacement op booked for 17 June.I have received cardiac MRI appointment for 26 June. I tried the MRI dept to ask if I should defer. They passed the buck back to Cardiology. I asked at the pre op assessment yesterday but again no clear advice. I usually recover quickly from surgery -
