HRT & RA experiences
hi, I’m wondering if there are others who have experience of RA improvement with HRT. My RA is relatively well managed.. one year in.. have a love / hate relationship with methotrexate (many other posts on this!), but am generally tolerating it better. I am having noticeable flares when I ovulate

Had my REMS scan today
Excellent session and good news - REMS shows that I don’t have osteoporosis even though DXA says I did! I am osteopenic which is what I suspected and why I wanted the scan. Advice was to manage with diet and exercise which I am all in favour of and no intention of ever going on the drugs. Dr was very

"Your thyroid's fine"...what do you think?
Hi. I've been told by a GP that my thyroid is fine. I don't think it is. I'd be grateful for your opinions. Like many others here, I'm fed up with Dr.s saying it's my age, the menopause, or there's nothing wrong. Medichecks results: May 23 Thyroglobulin Antibodies: 423.000 kIU/L (Range: <115

Vault granulomatous Polyp
Hi everyone Thank you in advance for reading my post. As with most of us my journey has been very difficult. Following a Bilateral Salpingo Oophorectomy last March, which my then consultant (not a endometriosis specialist but I was still very naive about Endo) advised would “cure” my endometriosis

Mucinous Ovarian Tumour
Hi. I recently had a total hysterectomy following a scan showing an ovarian cyst. The report showed stage 1a mucinous ovarian tumour on my left ovary. I had subsequently had blood tests - CA125, CA19-9, liver, kidneys and full blood count, all of which were normal. I now have conflicting advice from

Advice on halting bone loss following Dexa and hrt or other supplements.
Thyroid cancer at 23, high dose T4 requiring propranolol for 17 years, then battles over dosage post menopause as rules changed. T3, when measured, always seemed to be at a good level. I didn't take HRT as it was at the height of the cancer scare. I regret it now. Sjogrens and very low vitamin D diagnosed

Iron Blood Test Results
Hi i’m wondering if anyone could advise on my iron blood test. I had a recent thyroid test which showed Ferritin at 69.1 ug/L (range 30-150). This was through Thriva. I have since tested with Medicheck and my ferritin seems to have reduced. Am just wondering if there was a way I could increase ferritin

good morning 😊 I came home yesterday after a mitral valve repair on Monday. I’ve only just read through all my discharge letters, as I was not ready to plough through it all yesterday. They explained to me I had to take aspirin every day now for the rest of my life, in the letter they say it’s for

Thyroid and the Menstrual Cycle?
When I was first diagnosed with Graves diseases my periods had practically stopped. I had no period for almost a year thinking the menopause was to blame. I started Carbimazole and reacted badly to it and had Rai. Soon after I started Levo. My periods have often been on the heavy side, but after having
