Back, Shoulder, Knee & Hand Joint Pain.
Hi, I had an X-Ray on both of my hands last April which confirmed I had Osteoarthritis in all of the joints in both of my hands. I have had shoulder pain in both of my shoulders for many years as my job is working on a computer. I started to have lower back pain in 2020 and always had pain in one knee

Advice welcome PMR
After bing diagnosed with PMR in September 2021 I was started on Presdone 15mg. Tapered down slowly to 1mg. Then I started to get terrible pain in my thighs then the shoulder pain started again. I thought the pain in my thighs is due to having severe arthritis in my hip and waiting a hip replacement.

HRT and pred
I have both GCA and PMR and am making slow and steady progress with pred reduction and am now on 7.5/7mg. I also use HRT patches which I am considering stopping. I have concerns about this disrupting my progress with the pred reduction and/or the risk of provoking a flare. I have recently moved so have

Hello from a newbie
I'm new on here, having been diagnosed with bicuspid aortic stenosis. My consultant has told me I'm now ready for a valve replacement. I'd like to chat to others who have had an aortic valve replacement.

Does anyone take HRT without menopause?
Following on from my previous post I've gone back over previous bloods. These were done 10 months ago so need re-doing but I'm wondering if the low estrogen has something to do with my short menstrual cycles and nonexistent libido. Does anyone here take OTC HRT? Is it something I should leave well

Thyroid or Pituitary Problem?
Sorry in advance for the long essay! Desperatly hoping for some advice. I am a 30-year-old female suffering fatigue, brain fog & migraine with visual disturbances since July 2020, therefore I stopped the COCP after a 10-year use (which was prescribed for the management of menorrhagia). Since stopping

ELEVATED LABS AFTER SURGERY
I was diagnosed with MBC in the liver in March of 2019 and have been on Faslodex only since that time with stable scans and lab work. I fell 10/1 and fractured my femur near the hip. On 10/2 I had a partial left hip replacement. I missed my October oncology appointment and Faslodex shots. I saw the doctor

GP appt on Friday - what to ask?
Hi, following my post a few weeks ago, I have more test results and a follow-up appt on Friday with the lead GP. As mentioned, I've been offered anti-depressants more times than I can remember over the last 20 months since multi-nodular goitre was identified. I've gone on HRT to rule peri-menopause

Total knee replacement
well I have finally been put on the surgery list for a total knee replacement, due within 9 months. I am being a bit of a scaredy cat about it as unsure of the risks .I will see if the anaesthetist will do a spinal anaesthetic and not a general as your suggestions on here 12 months ago before really

running after hip replacement - contd
I wrote a few days ago about my first post-op run. I had waited ten months but was reluctant to go back to square one so had started on week four. It went OK but the consensus seemed to be I should go back a bit. Setting off for run two I looked at the plans for earlier weeks but both mind and body rebelled

Heavy feeling after radical hysterectomy
I had a total hysterectomy four weeks ago and my vagina now feels heavy. Dragging feeling. I’m worried it has prolapsed. Or is it too soon to tell. Does recovery and scar tissue feel heavy? Should I be worried. My follow up appointment isn’t for another three weeks. Has my vagina fallen? How do I
