Introduction
hi everyone, I’m 50, in perimenopause and struggling big time with declining cognition, adhd hormonal issues. I currently take adderall XR which I find helpful but it wears off quickly. Would like to use hormone replacement But Dr says no…I’m still menstruating every month.

I'm alive!!
The knee replacement went extremely well! My rìght knee (the one that was replaced) is actually stronger than the left knee and only 3 weeks after surgery! Hip, Hip, Hooray! My MS didn't flair up at all, unlike when I went septic back in August. Life is good and for the first time in a long time I

Caffeine / pregabalin / conflicting advice
I am under Professor Walker at Queen Square, a specialist for RLS. I am on Pregabalin (300mg before bedtime). But also on Citalopram for HRT, which he said should be switched to Bupropion as it worsens RLS. Unfortunately he did not give an amount, so my GP had to phone the "hot line" to a bank of

Bleeding and Fibroids
I'm a 58 year old woman and have been having very heavy bleeding and cramping for the past month. I have been on HRT for about three years and had to change my prescription due to previous bleeding. (I ended up in hospital in 2021) I was told I had a 6cm fibroid and it was being over stimulated by the

Bone-on-bone knee pain and RLS?
I don't want to limit this question for Joolsg because I welcome advice and experience from others, as well. But, Joolsg, I saw a post you replied to about 3 months ago in which you said, arthritic knees will definitely trigger RLS. I have had osteoarthritis in both knees for years and bone-on-bone

worried about high levels
Good morning everyone. It has been a while, and I had asked for blood tests before I went and had some private B12 injections, as my own Doctor had stopped them. My B12 was also low due to malabsorbtion, and PA results were borderline. I am symptomatic and feeling really bad lately. Its over a year

Help with getting medication
Hi so this was my blood results a month ago. GP told me I’m sub clinical and even though I have symptoms because they’d just prescribed me HRT because of aching, anxiety, tiredness, hot flushes in bed they said I had to try that first to see if it worked. Anyway the hot flushes have eased but nothing

Apparently Total T3 doesn't matter?
After a long battle of getting the GP's to check T3, finding it was low and them increasing levo (from 75mg to100mg) - my results are TSH 1.3 (range 0.23-5.6) Free T4 - 18 (range 9-23) Free T3 - 4 (range 3.1-6.8) Total T3 - 1.2 (range 1.3-3.1) Vit D 53 (range 50-139) I've lost my previous results

HRT, any thoughts please
I spoke to a doctor about trying HRT for my menopause symptoms. He said because my blood pressure was high, it's now normal using medicine and walking and because l am over weight. I am at a group and have lost 3 stone. He said he wouldn't recommend it for me because of increases in breast cancer, also

doc wants to lower my thyroxine
hi started HRT in oct and have put on a stone already. I felt it was possibly affecting my thyroxine levels and felt sure I needed more. She’s just called to say she wants me to reduce to 100 (from 125). Also iron is low and I’ve to take a pill for that. I occasionally get a little anxious (nothing

Help interpreting results & likelihood of diagnosis if I saw a private practitioner.
Good afternoon, I’m at my wit’s end and would very much appreciate help interpreting recent blood tests and symptoms. I previously posted a few weeks back with details of private tests carried out with Monitor my Health on 24/1/23. They were as follows: TSH 4.74 mu/L (0.27 - 4.2) FT4 13.9 pmol/

Hi. I have been suffering from anxiety for almost 1 1/2 now. Had a unexpected fall while alone & broke femur: resulted in partial hip replacement. Then my husbands multiple myeloma returned & COVID. I isolated for his sake & before I knew it I had panic attacks every night, depression & anxiety. Tried

RLS during in the morning and during the day when trying to take a nap?
Dear everyone here, fellow RLS sufferers, I am so grateful for this forum, I am on it daily to see what else can help my mother. First time I was here because she suffered badly from RLS which worsened a lot after hip replacement. And she was on 900 mg Neurontin and 0.0375 mg of Pramipexole that time

Spinal arthritis
I have had spinal problems for a number of years but since my hip replacement in 2018 left me with shorter leg i have ended up with pain in my left lower spinal area radiating into buttock and hip. Saw surgeon who did my hip and he said my old hip was no worse on xray than in 2018 but my lower spine

Menopause
I am 52 and going through the menopause and finding it difficult. I have been told by professionals that I can not have HRT as I have a family history of breast cancer and blood clots. I am just trying to deal with my symptoms with no help. I hate the mood swings, I suffer with depression and anxiety

Confidence in Menopause Course - by Dr Louise Newson and it is FREE!!
Hi All I am new to this group! I have been doing my own research into HRT. I am resonating with people's fears about HRT. However, I did the above named course that is by a Menopause Doctor and is aimed at GP's, health professionals or anyone who would like to take the course. The course has completely

What could be causing tachycardia?
Hi lifesavers, Someone has asked if the tachycardia I have been getting lately may be caused by the 5mcg of Tiromel that I take in the morning. Also I was wondering if I should stop taking the levothyroxine altogether, & either just try to buy some low dose Tiromel or Liothyronine without the T4 in
