I am taking methotrexate injection 25mg once a week, I have been taking that since Nov, now I am also on xeljanz (

Stopping Immunosuppressant Medication During an Infection? Sick-Day Planning for the Coronavirus Outbreak
Daily oral medications like JAK inhibitors, such as
tofacitinib
(Xeljanz) or upadacitinib (Rinvoq), have a much shorter half-life — they’re eliminated out of your system within 72 hours. Monthly injections and infusions remain in the body much longer, notes Dr. Domingues.

New Biologic
Has anyone tried Xeljanz (
tofacitinib
)? I went to see my rheumatologist on Tuesday and she wants me to give it a try. I have Psoriatic arthritis and other conditions. I was on Orencia infusions and it was helping some, but not long term. I changed insurance and it is not affordable for me now.

tofacitinib side effects
my son has just started taking
tofacitinib
(xeljanz) and is feeling pretty rubbish like he's starting with a cold/flu which he's put down to side effects of this new drug. Has anyone else had the same and if so how long did they last?

Update, another change of biologic 😑
So I visited my Rhemy today at his request, only to be told: - inflammation has increased two fold having been on this xeljanz,
tofacitinib
since 5th September 2018. Things seems to have only got worse with inflammation spreading rapidly.

Update on Tofacitinib
- so now start on Xeljanz
Tofacitinib
5th September, I admit I was anxious, but having suffered a major flare in my right shoulder 2 days prior, I was in such pain I vowed to start, with the encouragement of some of the lovely people on here too.

Tofacitinib
So I’m on week ten of this drug and I have to say I feel worse than before. My bloods remain the same (which were never indicative of what’s going on with my body anyway). I’ve started having headaches about week six and over the last three weeks the fatigue is terrible. I’ve been spending days on end

When you take medication and feel worse for wear 😬
Tofacitinib
. Day 1 - woke up swollen fingers and feet throbbing, felt reluctant to continue but knew I must. Day 2 - same feelings joints between fingers tender and sore, and feet tender. So you can feel the pattern here.

Worse before better? RA new meds
Hi everyone, Started my new biologic yesterday
Tofacitinib
by Xeljanz 5mg. I had been off meds for almost 6 weeks, was going through a testing flare on Monday which jumped from right shoulder to neck to left shoulder blade, albeit it has eased. I commenced my first tablet yesterday at 11a.m.

Yet another new med Xeljanz TOFACITINIB
As mentioned, finally new biologic collected today. I was on Entercept before but did nothing for the inflammation. Having reviewed this new biologic not many people on this, reviews hmm okayish...I shall provide updates. At the moment I have a cold so advised not to start until better. Its been odd

Tofocitiib - how long??
I started
tofacitinib
8 weeks ago and so far not seeing much difference. I've searched for the drug on this forum and found lots of info, however; I have a few questions that don't seem to be covered in previous posts. Can anyone share their experience of how long it took to take effect?

Still no meds!
It has been 3 weeks now and still waiting on my meds - suppose to be starting a new biologic
Tofacitinib
(?). Right now, I am meds free, relying on paracetamol as well as Anadin joint and inflammation tablets.
